Bel-Aire has an 18-hole execu-tive course and a 9-hole, par 3 course, and is open year-round (conditions permitting). Located a few miles from the beach, this 114-acre course is the Jersey Shore’s go-to site for both summer and winter golf.

Amenities include a golf center with vending machines and a practice putting green.

From Parkway Exit 98 take Rt. 34 South. Follow for 1 mile to the circle, and take Route 524 East/Allaire Road.

This 61-acre, 18-hole executive length course is nestled in the Covered Bridge Community against a backdrop of picturesque scenery. It offers a playable yet challenging design that will have you using every club in your bag.

Take Rt. 18 to Exit 30 and follow Route 9 South. Turn right onto Covered Bridge Boulevard and follow to course entrance.

Offering 36 holes of champion-ship caliber golf on two beautiful courses, Charleston Springs was designed by noted golf architect Mark Mungeam. This 781-acre property fits right into the scenic, rural landscape of western Monmouth County.

The North Course is a links-style course with extensive bunkering; multiple water hazards; and large, immaculately maintained greens. The South Course is designed in the classic parkland style, using existing terrain and natural landscape features.

Amenities include a golf center with snack bar, food service, a warm-up range and practice putting green, locker rooms with showers and a 2 mile multi-use trail (access trail from Stagecoach Rd./Rt. 524).

Take I-195 to Exit 16 (Rt. 537-Freehold). Follow for 4 miles and turn left at light onto Rt. 527 (Smithburg/ Woodville Rd.).

Designed by Scottish golf pro Joseph “Scotty” I’ Anson, Shark River’s penal design features tight, narrow fairways; deep-faced bunkers; and the challenge of small, well-protected greens – a stern but fair test to all golfers. Shark River, at 176 acres, is open year-round (conditions permitting) with temporary tees and greens in winter.

From Parkway Exit 100 take Rt. 33 East, turn right onto Old Corlies Ave. to course on right.

Robert Trent Jones designed this championship 18-hole course in the 1960s, and since then, it has hosted two USGA Championship events. Known for its challenging layout and immaculate condi-tions, Hominy Hill, at 262-acres, is often ranked among the top public golf courses in America.

Amenities include a golf center with vending machines, food service, a warm-up range and practice putting green, locker rooms with show-ers and a 0.8 mile multi-use trail (access trail from Matthews Rd.).

From Rt. 18, take Exit 22 to Rt. 537 East. Follow to Mercer Rd, turn right.

With its rustic setting, manicured bentgrass fairways, and fast sloping greens Howell Park provides a golf experience generally associated with private clubs. It has been ranked among the top 50 public courses in America by national golf publications.

Amenities at this 311-acre facility include a golf center with vending machines, food service, a warm-up range and practice putting green. Access to the Manasaquan River available for canoes/kayaks and fishing.

From Parkway or NJ Turnpike, take I-195 to Exit 31B/Farmingdale and follow brown directional signs to course.

Charleston Springs Short Game Area

This 5-acre facility offers 2 chipping greens, a putting green, 2 green-side bunkers, a fairway bunker and an acre of fairway.

All features are maintained to the same stan-dards as the main courses. FREE same day access with purchase of daily greens fee.
