Presidents Message
December is one of the most exciting and exhausting months on the calendar
for a good many of us. The Holiday Season seems to be busier every year. Every
year, I promise myself I will be more prepared and start well in advance. Most
of the time that I make that resolution, I fall short of my desired goal.
Traveling, gift buying and wrapping, entertaining, sorting through recipe files
for Grandma’s well loved coffee cake instructions, unboxing decorations and
finding just the right spot for them, I could go on but I am sure you get the
picture. When our holy days come we are just worn out and have not given the
spiritual portion of the season the proper time for reflection. So maybe, I won't
worry about starting ahead on my shopping or decorating and work harder
on thoughtfulness, charity and just loving those around me.
Marilyn and I wish you a glorious Holiday Season and may the New Year
bring you only good things along with, love, hope and joy. Pass it on!

Member Autobiography
Joyce Snyder
I was born in Albuquerque New and raised in Wyoming and Nevada. I attended school in Caliente, Nevada and then I was lucky enough to be accepted into nursing school in Reno, NV. After graduating nursing school I spent most of my nursing career at the VA hospital also in Reno, NV. I am very fortunate to have a wonderful family which includes 2 daughters and 1 son. I also have 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. My youngest daughter and her family have lived in Parker, Colorado for years. After having some health issues she convinced me to move to Colorado to be closer to her and her family. It has been wonderful being closer to her. I love traveling, reading, crafts and playing games. I was introduced to the newcomers by Sara Woods, who was kind enough to take me to the Coffee get together. I was told that Sara got my name and number from my daughter and I am certainly glad she did. Sara Thank you so much for helping break the ice for me.
