WELCOME!At Y camp, our staff strives to make all kids feel welcome and help them realize this is a place where they can express themselves and have a sense of belonging. We create an environment where they can learn new skills, make new friends, be adventurous and grow in confidence.

We strive to offer the highest quality camps with diverse opportunities. We believe that a camp experience can be a powerful tool for personal growth. We take great care in selecting staff through screenings, background checks, and thorough trainings which include first aid, CPR, safety and character building. You can trust that the Y makes every effort to provide a fun, well supervised, safe place for your child.

A week at Adventure Camp will provide your child with an action-packed day filled with games, crafts, and enriching lessons that correspond with that week’s theme. Each week will also include an opportunity to go swimming or to the splash pad. Each week we will also go either on an off-site field trip or have the field trip program come to us.

A week at Kinder Camp will provide your child with fun filled days with games, crafts, and enriching lessons that correspond with that week’s theme. Kinder Camp is a great way to get your child used to being away from home in a smaller group setting than our original Adventure Camp. Each week will also include an opportunity to go swimming or to the splash pad.Kinder Camp is not accrediated by the ACA.

MOVE aims to provide Meaningful Opportunities for Volunteering and Education for teens ages 11-15. During the summer series teens will participate in activities that will build a sense of community, develop character, core values and confidence through service projects and hands on leadership experiences.

At camp, teens will:• Develop leadership skills through trips, trainings and group projects.• Explore making a difference in the community through service projects.• Build a healthy spirit, mind and body by engaging in activities that challenge you to be your best self. • Experience team building while making new friends. • Travel around Fort Wayne via CitiLink and be immersed in different cultures.• Visit a variety of places including Community Harvest Food Bank, Salvation Army, Remedy Live, Parks

& Recreation, Rescue Mission, Lutheran Life Villages, Summit Equestrian, Neighbor Link and more.

TEEN PROGRAMS

At the YMCA we believe that everyone can be a Cause Driven Leader. This program gives teens the opportunity to learn the YMCA Leadership Competency Model: Mission Advancement, Collaboration, Operational Effectiveness and Personal Growth. The team will build confidence, community and independence as they work together to fundraise, purchase, and create a project for the Parkview Family YMCA.

At camp, teens will:• Experience hands on learning with camp role models and community professionals.• Learn about fundraising, Y operations and mission advancement.• Develop life skills through activities that encourage emotional intelligence, confidence and

community leadership.

CAUSE DRIVEN LEADER SUMMER SERIES

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

• Required Forms are online on the Parkview Y branch page

• YMCA Immunization Record Form must be completed and signed by a health care provider

• $15 non-refundable deposit per week registered for each child

• Balance is due the Monday prior to the week your child will be attending

• Payment must be made in the form of scheduled automatic deductions via a bank draft or credit card

• We offer financial assistance for members and program participants. Aid is based on need and is kept strictly confidential

• All requests for cancellation must be made in writing to the appropriate director no later than two weeks prior to the week cancelling payment due date

• Only 1/2 of the camp fee will be refundable if this registration is canceled less than two weeks prior to payment due date

• No refunds are given if cancellation is less than one week from attendance

• All deposits are non-refundable
