5 . Technical Specifications & Drawings
Summary of Technical Specifications:
Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board has followed the Technical Specifications for all the required materials used in the construction of overhead rural electricity distribution system approved by BREB Board. The Specifications have been being used for several years and updated time to time. Under this Bid Package (URIDS(E)-G-13) Lot -1, Lot- 2, Lot- 3, , Lot- 4 includes 07 items of Pole, SPC for each Lot respectively. This specification provides guidelines for design, manufacture, testing and supply of spun prestressed concrete (SPC) poles for over head power distribution lines of Rural Electrification Board (REB). The SPC poles covered by this specification will be interchangeable with the existing wood poles. A commentary is attached at the end explaining few terms used in the specification.
The poles specified herein shall conform to the mentioned international standards or their updated versions. Codes, standards or other documents referred to in this specification are to be considered as part of this specification. If a conflict between several referenced documents occurs, the more stringent requirement shall be followed. In case of a conflict between this specification and any other specification mentioned herein, this specification shall govern. The Goods and Related Services shall comply with the following Technical Specifications and Standards: Detailed design & design calculation for the offered poles in accordance with the technical specification given below in the bidding document. If the bidder wins the bid, its detailed design will be reviewed, revised (if required) and certified by Bureau of Research, Testing & Consultation (BRTC), Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET) that the design is adequate to meet the requirements as mentioned in the technical specifications. The cost incurred in connection with the design review, revision and certification will be borne by the winning bidder/supplier and such cost is assumed to be included in the bid price.
