WHAT IS THE TOEFL® YOUNG STUDENT SERIES (YSS) ENGLISH

LANGUAGE CHAMPIONSHIP?

TOEFL® YSS English Language Championship is National English-Skill Competitions

designed to Primary and Junior High students in Indonesia. It is annually competition

organized by Indonesian International Education Foundation (IIEF) since 2016 and

supported by Educational Testing Service (ETS) – the owner.

TOEFL® YSS English Language Championship offers students to have greats

experiences to assess their English abilities using the best international English

assessments: TOEFL Primary® for primary students or TOEFL Junior® for junior high

students. Also, students will be challenged to demonstrate their creativity in English

such as writing, storytelling etc.

In 2019, TOEFL® YSS English Language Championship will be conducted starting

September until November 2019. IIEF invite schools to send their students to participate

in the TOEFL® YSS English Language Championship and prepare them to be A

CHAMPION.

TERM AND CONDITIONS

• CANCELLATION

• Cancellation requisition made 3 (three) weeks before the competition date

chosen: 50% of registration fee is refundable

• Cancellation requisition made less than 3 (three) weeks before the

competition date chosen: registration fee is no refundable

• PARTICIPANT REPLACEMENT

• Student Replacement Requisition made maximum 1 (one) week before the

competition date chosen

• Student Replacement requisition made less than 1 (one) week before the

competition date chosen is allowed only to who sick by showing the medical

certificate

• CHANGE OF COMPETITION DATE

• Change of Competition Dates Requisition made maximum 2 (two) weeks

before the previous competition date chosen

• ADJUDICATION

• A panel of judges will be appointed for all the rounds at all levels.

• The contestant with the highest score of TOEFL® YSS tests (TOEFL Primary® and

TOEFL Junior®) and Writing test will be declared the winner.

• The decision of the judges is final.

• Additional round will be applied if necessary
