Welcome to the Partner Playbook Part 2. The purpose of the playbook is to provide you with the tools and resources you need, as well as the steps required, to help you hit the ground running as a Breathe Partner.

The content in this playbook is based on research conducted in part one of our Partner Playbook, where we asked our most successful partners a series of questions on how they’ve grown their business, while using Breathe as part of their services.

Step 1) Download the Breathe website images and logos from your partner toolkit.

Step 2) Add your Partner Badge. If you don’t have one, contact your account manager and they can send it across to you.

Step 3) Add your branded marketing video. If you don’t have one, contact your account manager and they can create one of these for you too.

Step 4) Include your referral link as a CTA (call to action) on your website. This could be a ‘Click here for a free trial’ button for example.

As a result, the customers trial will appear in your partner hub – a great lead generation tool. You can find your referral link in your partner hub, under the ‘referrals’ tab.

We recommend using a CRM to help you schedule and send your emails. As a result, you can decide exactly which emails are sent and when.

Top Tip: Search for a CRM which offers meeting links. You can include a link to your calendar in your email footer, allowing your clients to book in a call with you at a time that suits you both – avoiding email ping pong!

We are often asked, ‘how do I pitch an HR system to my clients?’. The first step is to understand their current situation and the challenges they face.

How do they currently manage their holiday? How long does it take for holiday to be approved by their manager?

Where do they store their employee information and documents? E.g. Handbooks and contracts.

Do they currently manage their employee data on Excel or bits of paper?

What is their current performance review process for managers?

For example, you may have a client approach you with a problem they need help with; perhaps a staff member is constantly off sick?

At this point, you can provide them with the support they need, whilst also offering them a solution which enables them to track and manage their people’s absence too.

Setting up a new clientOption 1

If you will be managing your client’s account and wish to be invoiced for their account, please follow the steps below.

Step 1) Create their trial.

Step 2) Set your client as an HR user in their trial.

Step 3) Send their welcome email.

This will give your client access to explore Breathe and its features.

Top Tip: Our partners include Breathe as part of their retained package. Most partners charge the cost of the Breathe system, however they will also provide additional services as part of the package and bill their clients on a monthly basis.

Gathering the data and importing

Step 1) Send your client our implementation spreadsheet. This will help you to gather the data you need to set up the client’s account. Contact your account manager and they can send this across to you.

Step 2) Once you have received the data, format the information into our import spreadsheet. This can be found under the people tab > data > manage data imports.

Step 3) Import the data. To ensure the data import runs smoothly, check out our step-by-step importing data into Breathe guide.

Step 4) Follow our step-by-step checklist to ensure all areas of the system are set up.

Setting up a new clientOnboarding your client

Once you have created your client on Breathe, what are the next steps?

Step 1) Upload our employee, line manager, finance user (finance user is available on the regular, pro and premium plans), and HR user guide, to the company documents. As a result, when people log into the system, they will have access to our super-helpful guides straight away.

Step 2) Post a company announcement, welcoming people to the system. When people sign into the system, it will be the first thing they see.

Part 2

Breathe does not have a mobile app, however it has been designed to be fully mobile optimised and we have two guides – Android / IOS – which you can include in your announcement.

Step 3) Send your welcome emails! The welcome emails can be sent via the HR dashboard. This will provide employees with a link to create their Breathe password.

Top Tip: You can also include a link in the announcement. We suggest including a link to our training video which explains how employees can use the system.
