TELANGANA
Objectives of the Project�Increasing farmer’s accessibility to high quality &
location-specific weather & climate information across 9 states of India.
�Issue ICT-based location specific crop advisory and farming practices package across 31 districts in 9 states of India, based on high-quality weather data.
�Provide farmers access to a comprehensive weather-based crop insurance model for mitigating risks associated with climate variability.
�Develop a community of practice on climate services in India for sharing best practices and lessons learned.
The primary focus of the program is to make climate data & information, risk mitigation
tools & advisory services, more accessible to farmers in the target states of India; and to
make commitments for the development of new risk mitigation products to support
decision-making targeted at the needs of specific climate-vulnerable communities.

Rainfall & Wind speed and direction.
Weather Forecast: Short term (7 days)
ahead forecast updated on daily basis &

like sowing, weeding, hiring of farm
machinery/ labor, and harvesting of crops.
