for a Safer America The Major County Sheriffs of America (MCSA) is a professional association of elected sheriffs representing counties or parishes with a population of 500,000 or more citizens. We are dedicated to preserving the highest integrity in law enforcement as our membership serves approximately 100 million Americans.

We are committed to promoting a greater understanding of law enforcement strategies which address current and future challenges facing the members of our association and those they serve.

Independently and in a wide range of advisory roles, we are actively advancing legislative issues, many of which are also of critical importance to our corporate partners, and to enhance the safety of our communities. This is a special partnership affording educational organizations the opportunity to reach our members with unique University programs.

A learning partner must offer not only education sessions, but undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Institutions interested in this partnership will be evaluated by the MCSA Board for approval to achieve designation as an MCSA Educational Partner. Part of this review involves meeting national or regional accreditation criteria.

The partnership fee to become an educational partner is $2,500 on an annual basis. Additional financial support may be provided to become a higher-level partner, which provides enhanced benefits.

Educational Partnership MCSA 2019 MILESTONES

The Major County Sheriffs of America (MCSA) made major strides in 2019! Some of our significant accomplishments in 2019 include:

• The number of MCSA member offices increased by 9.2% from 94 to 102 offices nationwide, representing 120 million citizens;

• MCSA redesigned our website for easier user flow and greater access to information;

• MCSA initiated a monthly newsletter with spotlight Sheriffs and Partners of the Month; and,

• MCSA held three successful conferences at which both the member and partner attendance increased significantly over previous years.

MCSA could not have obtained these, and other, achievements during the year without the financial investment of our 54 corporate partners! Corporate funding is essential to MCSA and during 2019 we made great strides in increasing the nature and visibility of our corporate partners. MCSA initiated an Executive Board/Partner Round table where Sheriffs and representatives from our partner companies shared ideas on innovative programs, services and technologies. Second, MCSA created new partner pins signifying the level of sponsorship for each company. Finally, MCSA highlighted partner companies in the monthly newsletter, the website and conference infomercials shown during the member sessions.

MCSA gives our partner companies one-on-one interaction with our membership in unstructured environments. These interactions and our corporate relationships are valued by the MCSA membership. As we move toward 2020, MCSA looks to expand on our corporate sponsorships as we are “Leading the Way for a Safer America.”
