KA226 Partnerships for Digital Education Readiness:Reinforcing the ability of education and training institutions to provide high quality, inclusive digital education

• supporting teachers to develop digital competences and safeguarding the inclusive nature of learning opportunities

• building capacity to implement online, blended and distance teaching and learning

• developing digital pedagogical competences of educators, enabling them to deliver high quality inclusive digital education

• developing high quality digital content such as innovative online resources and tools

• promoting networking of institutions, sharing of resources and expertise, and collaboration with digital technology providers and experts in educational technologies and relevant pedagogical practice

What Activities Are Supported in Strategic Partnerships in Response to the Covid-19?

• activities that strengthen the cooperation and networking between organisations

• testing and/or implementation of innovative practices in the field of education, training and youth

• activities that facilitate the recognition and validation of knowledge, skills and competences

• cooperation between regional authorities to promote the development of education, training and youth systems

• activities to better prepare and deploy the education and training of professionals for equity, diversity and inclusion challenges in the learning environment

• activities to deploy digital tools and methods to deliver quality and inclusive education through online/virtual means, including blended teaching, training and learning

• activities to understand how best to incorporate digital online technology into subject-specific teaching, training and learning, including work based learning.

KA226 Partnerships for Digital Education Readiness:Priorities

All applications must address the priority Innovative practices in a digital era i.e.:• taking up of digital technologies and of innovative and open pedagogies in

education, training, youth and sport• promoting gender equality and addressing differences in relation to the access

and use by underrepresented groups• promoting innovative methods and tools for teaching, training, learning and

assessment • contributing to building digital education readiness and to mitigating the impact

of the crisis on some of the hardest-hit sectors

In addition, the application can address 1 or 2 horizontal or field-specific priorities

Minimum partnership: 3 organisations from 3 programme countries.

Project duration 1-2 years, projects starting between1.3.2021 - 30.6.2021

Eligible participating organisations eg.

• Higher education institution (ECHE requirement!);• School /Institute/Educational centre; • Non-profit organisation, association, NGO;• Public or private, a small, medium or large enterprise; • Public body at local, regional or national level; • Social partner or other representative of working life,

including chambers of commerce, industry, craft/professional associations and trade unions;

• Research institute, a foundation; • Cultural organisation, library, museum; • Body providing career guidance;• Body validating knowledge, skills and competences;• European Youth NGO…

Cross-sectoral Strategic Partnerships

• Cross-sectoral cooperation between differenteducation sectors encouraged

• Projects searching solutions for issues relevant for more than one sector e.g.: climate change, language skills, ICT skills, entrepreneurial skills etc.

• Recommended to include organisations from allthe sectors that are involved in the project

• Key: mutually beneficial co-operation

• Important: what is the ”most impacted sector”? select the application form accordingly

Participation of Partner Countries in SP projects?

• Partner countries can participate in a Strategic Partnership as a partner

• “A partner country partner” may participate if there is evidence that it brings essential added value to the project be explicit in the application form

• Consider: • Is this partner really unique? • Can it be replaced by a European partner? • Would all the outputs, results in the project

be achieved without the Partner country partner?

What are Intellectual Outputs?

Output= method, guide, model, study module, survey, specific software etc. tangible results (= intellectual outputs)

Other results= capacity building, changes in the mindset/working habits, increasing quality, increased professional skills etc. intangible results (= NOT intellectual outputs)

Transnational Learning, Teaching and Training activities: Intensive Study programmes• bring together students and teaching staff

• encourage efficient and multinational teaching of specialist topics

• enable students and teachers to work together in multinational and multidisciplinary groups

• allow members of the teaching staff to exchange views on teaching content, new curricula approaches and to test innovative teaching methods

• students: 5 days to 2 months (excluding travel days)

• teaching staff/invited teachers: 1 day to 2 months (excluding travel days)

Transnational Learning, Teaching and Training activities: Short-term Joint Staff Training Events

• the purpose of this type of activity is joint learning and exchange between the participants

• organised for small groups of staff from different countries in order to maximisethe impact on each participating organisation

• E.g. study visits combining on-site visits to relevant organisations, presentations, discussion workshops, training courses

• Purpose of the activity is not to discuss and manage the project itself.

• 3 days to 2 months (excluding travel days)

In the final report: no real costs have to be reported, but how activites, mobilities, events have been carried out.

• Support for developing the planned concrete results/deliverables (= intellectualoutputs) of the project.

• Staff cost of participating organisations. NB. Project management or disseminationis not eligible in this category

• Daily rates for 4 staff categories and four country groups (see Programme Guide)

• Mainly staff categories Teacher/Trainer/ Researcher and Technician (based on thefunction at home organisation)

• Only in exceptional cases managers and administrative support staff if well justified

Transnational Learning, Teaching and Training activities: Intensive Study programmes• Level of individual support and minimum duration for students and teachers are

different students and teachers are detailed separately in the application form for the same intensive programme

• SP-HE-IPL = Intensive programmes for higher education learners travel and individual support for students

• SP-IP-HE = Intensive programmes for teaching staff travel and individual support for teachers

• SP-HE-IST = Invited teachers at Intensive Study Programmes travel and individual support for experts invited from outside the project partnership

• NB. Accompanying person is a person who accompanies participants with special needs (not a teacher)
