DESCRIPTION

1. LEARNING OUTCOME: a. Houses may express the circumstances or opinions of their inhabitants. Thus a vast and elaborate house may serve as a sign of conspicuous wealth as in a penthouse or bungalow, whereas a low-profile house built of recycled materials may indicate support of energy conservation as in a hut or mud house. Today’s lesson will provide students a sense of "belonging" and the feeling they have "made the best use" of their house belongings. b. With the growth of dense settlement, humans designed ways of identifying houses and today students will further enhance their understanding of different parts of the house which often echo the importance of these spaces and its privacy. 2. STARTER: Teacher will have a warm up quiz to reinforce the earlier lesson of “Different types of houses” and recall of the various words associated with the dwellings. Students from each house will give their answers. The quiz will serve as a connect for today’s lesson on “Different parts of the house.” 3. REGROUPING STRATEGIES: Teacher will divide the class into groups of four each. 4. RESOURCES: Crayons and Felt Pens 5. DEVELOPMENT: Teacher will explain to the students the different parts of the house. • The Students will watch a PPT on the different parts of the house and learn about its importance. • In the next activity an opportunity is provided to allow the students to engage in a song. Through this song, students gain an understanding that each of us live in a house where every room is important. • The activity sheet will help the students to color the house and fill in the blanks. 6. PLENARY: Teacher will ask the students what were the new things they learnt today.
