Parts of The Newspaper

1.)General NewsThis contains the most important news both local and abroad. It is usually found in the front page of the newspaper. The title of the most important news is printed in big bold letters. It is called BANNER.

3.)Editorial PagePrinted in this section are articles called editorials. An editorial gives views or opinions of the editor or publisher or certain issues or events.

4.)Sports PageThis contains news about sports events in and out of the country. It also contains people well-known in sports.

5.)Classified Ads SectionThis section contains advertisements

which fall under headings like “HELP WANTED”, “FOR LEAST or SALE”, “WANTED TO BUY.” Also found in this section are personal, and legal notices.

6.)Business and Finance SectionThis section provides businessmen and

people interested in business with information or banking, foreign and stocks exchange imports and exports and prices of prime commodities.

7.)Entertainment SectionThis section contains information about movies, radio, television and other activities for entertainment, It includes games and puzzles, comic strips and cartoons, and the daily horoscope.

9.)Society PageThis section contains news about important or well-known people who are celebrating special occasions or performing at a particular place.

10.)Travel and Tourism SectionThis section provides a guide to enjoyable travel. It directs tourists to scenic vacation and gives information on the activities that may be had in three places. Also found in the section are the schedules of the departure and arrival of ships and airplanes in and out of the country.

11.)Religious News and Obituary PageThis section provides news on the activities of the different religious sects such as fellowships, seminars, prayer meetings, Bible studies and like. A list of people who died and the time and the place of burial is found in the obituary page.

8.)Home and Culture SectionYou may read ideas about budgeting, food preparation, house improvement, proper plant care and the like in this section.

2.) Local and Foreign news sectionPart of this page contains news front towns and cities of the nation. Another part contains news from abroad.
