Introduction to the course

• The Law 12 course has been developed for high school students who have an interest in Canadian law and wish to understand how it functions within our society. While providing understanding as to how law functions in Canada, this course will develop the student’s critical thinking, organizational, and research skills

Attendance and Assessment Policy

• Tests will be announced a week in advance. Please check calendar on teacher’s website.

• Should a student be absent on the day of a test, test will be written on the day of his/her return unless otherwise pre-arranged with teacher.

Attendance and Assessment Policy

• Assignments and projects are handed in at the beginning of class on the due date, unless otherwise discussed or indicated on website. Should student be absent on that date, assignment is due upon her/his return unless otherwise pre-arranged with teacher.

• Throughout the most of the semester, students will be working on a Career Portfolio, a reflection journal and an end of the year project and presentation on Criminal Law
