• Free Bona DCS Vacuum System – worth £1,900

• Advertising campaigns to promote you to private and commercial prospects

‘Bona Certified Contractor’ status applies to an individual who, in most instances, will already be an experienced wood

floor specialist and operate a wood flooring installation/sanding and finishing company. If that individual wishes to use the

certification to promote his or her company, then a condition of the certification is that any other employees of that company,

including sub contractors, who are involved in the installation/sanding/finishing of wooden floors

on behalf of that company, must also have attended and passed both courses.

There will be no charge for other employees of the company to attend the two day Bona Certified

Contractor Course held at Milton Keynes, but there will be an extra charge made by Bona

(available upon request) per extra employee to attend the Wood Floor Installation Course at

the FloorSkills training centre near Birmingham.

Only one Bona DCS Vacuum System will be provided per company.

Bona workwear and other gifts will be presented to all course delegates at the start of the

course at Milton Keynes. The Bona DCS Vacuum System will be presented on satisfactory

completion of both courses.

Certified Training Courses

Bona Certified Contractor Course

A two day intensive course presented at Bona’s HQ in Milton

Keynes and delivered by our technical manager. This syllabus

has been written by Bona’s global technical team to meet the

requirements of the high level of training required by the Bona

Certified Contractor Programme.

The course will cover in detail the Bona approach to all

aspects of wood floor installation and treatment, from

subfloor preparation through to ongoing maintenance

regimes for different finishes and environments. Even

contractors who have worked in the industry for many years

will be able to benefit from this practical-based course as it

will cover new techniques and materials which they may not

be familiar with.

The course is mainly practical but there will also be a short

written test. Refreshments and lunch will be provided on

both days.

Wood Floor Installation Course

This two day course is delivered by our partners, FloorSkills,

at their dedicated training centre near Birmingham. The

training is under the personal supervision of the country’s

leading trainers Sid and Matt Bourne who have worked with

us to develop an installation course which complements the

content of the Bona Certified Contractor course.

This course focuses purely on the technical and practical

aspects of installing different types of timber flooring.

FloorSkills offers high quality training in all aspects of flooring

including fully funded apprenticeships and NVQs as well as a

popular networking forum for fitters enabling them to remain

in touch and share information following completion of their

training. For more information please visit floorskills.co.uk

Free Bona DCS Vacuum System

Contractors joining the Certified Contractor Programme will be

presented with a brand new Bona DCS dust extraction system

(recommended trade price £1,900 + VAT). This machine is so much

more than a vacuum cleaner! It enables you to offer a dust free sanding

service to your customers thanks to the two step cyclonic separation

and unique filter design. The machine is connected to either belt or

edge sanders and the sanding dust is drawn away from the floor, the

abrasives and the sanding machine itself as you work, making the

job cleaner and more efficient and leaving a dust free environment for

you and your customers. A real advantage when working in homes,

galleries, museums, schools etc. When you join the Programme, the

machine is yours to keep.

Marketing and Promotion

To make sure as many prospects as possible hear about the BCCP, we

advertise regularly in consumer and specifier publications and online

directories, exhibit at relevant trade and consumer exhibitions and also

promote the BCCP network via our social media channels.

We'll also provide you with web content and other marketing materials

to help inspire your customers and increase their confidence in your

expertise.

FREE

Ongoing Training

Following your initial training courses, we offer ongoing annual

training and networking events in the UK, Germany and

Sweden, where we introduce our Certified Contractors to new

Bona products and systems and offer sessions on business

development and sales techniques.

Our expert technical team is always available during working

hours for advice and support.

Referrals

Every Bona Spray Mop sold to wood floor owners at retail outlets such as B & Q,

Lakeland etc, contains a leaflet explaining why an expert should be consulted when it's

time to install or renovate a wood floor, and promoting the Bona Certified Contractor

network. Your details will also be included on the searchable listing of Certified

Contractors at bona.com

Bona Certified Contractors will also be recommended to customers calling or emailing

our head office or sales team in search of a competent wood flooring contractor.

The Certified Contractor Programme is open by invitation only,

often to contractors who have already achieved Bona Trained

Contractor status1 and who demonstrate true professionalism

in their working practices and a stable financial history.

Members of the Programme will also be required to:

• Use Bona products to fit and finish wooden floors

• Offer a dust free sanding service by using our

Bona DCS2

• Pay a one off joining fee of £1500 + VAT

• Pass the two certified training courses

• Attend the annual training and networking events

whenever possible

• Pay an annual membership fee of £150 + VAT3

• Display the Bona Certified Contractor logo on all

marketing materials

1 We already operate a ‘Bona Trained Contractor’ scheme and will continue to do this for contractors new to the industry or looking to consolidate their basic knowledge of sanding, finishing and maintaining their machines. The Bona Certified Contractor Programme however offers already experienced contractors the opportunity to work more closely with Bona, and to benefit from more in depth training alongside substantial business benefits.

2 If a contractor is already offering a Bona dust free service, your Bona representative will explain alternative deals.

3 The annual membership fee will be payable a year after payment of the original joining fee and every year thereafter and entitles members to attend the regular training and networking events when additional items of workwear will be provided.
