Slide 2 Pastor: We begin our worship in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. C: Amen. Song Slide 3 song Slide 4 Confession Pastor: Lord God, you know our need before we ask. You know our sin before we confess. You want to forgive us before we ask. Your love and grace are never exhausted. Lord, in our confession help us to be honest with ourselves, help us to seek your mercy and grace. Slide 5 Confession Pastor: Loving God, we admit to you that we are often like stony fields, the seed of your Word is freely poured out on us but we often choke it our by all the other distractions and sins of this life. Too often we allow weeds to flourish and goodness to wither. Slide 6 Confession People: Heavenly Father, we confess to you that we have sinned against you in many ways, in our thoughts, in our words, by what we have done and by what we have failed to do. Slide 7 Confession People: Most loving God, please open our lives to receive again your Gospel. Rain your mercy on us, and shine the warmth of your love on us. Have mercy on us, forgive us and fill us with your Holy Spirit. Amen. Slide 8 Forgiveness Pastor: God has had mercy on us, he loves us and has given his Son to die for us. So by the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ I forgive you all your sins in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Peace be with you. People: Amen. Slide 9 The Psalm of the Day (see Sunday Bulletin) At the end of the Psalm: Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be for ever. Amen. And in Jesus Christ, his only son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried. Slide 13 He descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God, the Father almighty, from thence he will come to judge the living and the dead. Slide 14 I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
