Worship Services

8:30 AM and 10:00 AM

Office Hours 9 a.m. -3 p.m. M-TH

As disciples of Jesus Christ, we commit ourselves to God’s service by following the

teachings of our Lord and Savior. We will study the word of God, share His love,

and expand His kingdom by nurturing, sharing freely, and working together.

INTERN PASTOR ANGELA SMITH

The Power of God’s Word

July was fraught with tragedy and we fear for the future. It seems that every night there is another breaking news story of people killing people, terror attacks, and government and military unrest. Our relationship with our neighbors seems to be in decline both in our communities and in the world. People are separating themselves from each other and rage against the “other” is prevalent and increasing. This is a worrisome time for me and I imagine for many of you, too. What are we to do?

The greatest power is the power that is found in God’s Word. God’s Word has the power to create, to renew, and to restore. Jesus Christ is the embodiment of God’s living Word. It is written in Colossians 1:19-20, “For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.” Reconciliation, whether it be in homes, or our churches, or our communities or among nations can be found in the saving Word from God in Jesus Christ.

Let us go forth in these days, weeks, and months ahead, not in fear and hate, but instead in peace and love in the hope of reconciliation.

Sunday, September 11th Regular Worship Hours will resume:

8:30 AM and 10:45 AM
