17 Gray Tack Down 1.3 Place applique fabric on top of Placement stitch for the whole shape 1.3. This will be a partial tack down, however, the applique fabric needs to cover the full Placement stitch.

TRIM up to the Tack Down (Tack Down) stitch of the applique fabric for shape 1.3. Fold back the applique fabric to clear the Placement

1. Attach stabilizer to selected Hoop that support 8” x 8” stitch field. 2. Center the 10” x 10” background fabric on top of the hoop. 3. Load design: Block 22 file. 4. Attach the hoop. 5. If using a tear away stabilizer, use the basting stitch on embroidery machine to secure

the background fabric to the stabilizer. If using Sticky Stabilizer there is not a need to use the basting stitch.

6. Make sure the background fabric is still centered and is flat.

19 Brown Satin 1.1 – 1.3 Recommend to use thread color to match shapes 1.1 fabric. Unfold applique fabric for shape 1.3. This will be a partial Satin stitch for shape 1.3; full satin for 1.1 & 1.2. Make sure the applique fabric for shape 1.3 is folded back after partial satin stitch to clear shape 1.4.

20 Lt Brown Satin 1.4 Recommend to use thread color to match shape 1.4.

21 Gray Tack Down 1.3 Unfold applique fabric for shape 1.3; make sure it lays flat on top of remaining Placement stitch.

TRIM the remaining applique fabric for shape 1.3.

22 Brown Satin 1.3 Finish Satin stitch for shape 1.3. Recommend to use thread color to match shape 1.3.

Use neutral thread color or thread color to match Large background block.

58 Gray Tack Down Background Block

Fold the large block fabric in half and in half again and finger press the center. Open the fabric and place the fabric on top of the embroidery hoop Position the hoop so that the needle is positioned in the center of the hoop. Move the fabric to align the center crease below the needle. Smooth out the fabric; make sure it continues to lay flat during the tack down stitch.

TRIM: Remove the hoop from the embroidery unit and place it on a flat

surface. Carefully cut a slit in the center part of the fabric, close to the tack down stitch. TRIM the inner circle of the fabric. Attach hoop back to the embroidery unit.

59 Tan Satin Background Block

Recommend to use thread color to match Block fabric.

Cut or trim the threads on the back of the design to remove the stabilizer. Trim the 10” x 10” square about ¼”

from the center circle. Trim the larger background block to 12 ½” x 12 ½”.
