PAT4 DV
The Megger PAT4 DV is fully micro-processor controlled andcapable of testing all appliances (assets) of both 110 V and230 V and is also capable of being powered from 110 V or230 V supplies. The tests to be performed on any asset arestored within the PAT4 and automatically applied dependantupon the asset group selected. The QWERTY keypadenables full data entry, with the capacity to store up to 1000results. Overall, the PAT4 is designed to test quickly sosaving you time, and be simple to use.

ACCESSORIES
With the Business in a Box, every care has been taken tomake sure there are no circumstances where routine PATtesting cannot be performed. Whether it is on a building sitewith 110 V supplies or in a school, all the requiredaccessories are included to enable tests to be carried out.230 V and 110 V extension leads and the majority of powersupply leads can also be tested using the adaptors supplied.
GUIDES
There are two guides included to assist in setting up,running and growing this PAT testing venture.
The Guide to PAT Testing explains how to perform PATtesting. It assumes some practical experience of workingwith electricity, but none of Portable Appliance Testing.While remaining simple, it is intended to aid in the detail ofwhat to do and includes identification of the different typesof assets that exist and which tests to perform on each type.It also includes the recommended pass/fail criteria from theCode of Practice for In-service Inspection and Testing ofElectrical Equipment (published by the IEE) so easyidentification of a good or faulty asset. Further opportunitiesmay then exist in the repair of faulty assets – e.g. a blownfuse or replaced mains lead or plug may incur additionalcharges to the primary testing fee.
‘How to Market your Business’ provides a kick-start togetting the customers, and therefore work and revenue. Itincludes a legal background and the fact that no formalqualifications are required to get started. It identifiespotential customers and how best to approach them, andtemplate letters, press releases and advertisements to helpget your business off the ground.
APPLICATIONS
