Investment Required and Franchise Costs

Initial Franchise FeeThe initial franchisee fee will depend on which CleaningDoctor option you are investing in. It ranges from £10,450 forour entry level option to £27,500 for our top level package.The cost differences are due to the different amounts ofequipment and training required for each option. However,be rest assured, the equipment and training is comprehensive,whatever the option. Detail will be discussed when we haveour first significant discusion.

BorrowingIf financing is necessary the high street banks will usuallyrequire you to provide a minimum personal investment, forexample £6,000, before they consider financing theremainder: typical £6 – 12K, depending on the franchise costand your personal circumstances. A sound business plan willbe required by most lenders.

Reserve / Working CapitalWe also suggest that you have a reserve of £3 - 6K foroperating expenses until your business is up and running.

Monthly FeesOur fixed-fee, management support services are a greatbenefit to our franchisee. The more franchisees earn, themore they retain. We do not set unrealistic targets.

Franchise companies usually charge a monthly royalty fee,which is typically a percentage of gross sales; for example 9%to 15% of gross sales. At Cleaning Doctor we believe that thepercentage route is not really a fair system. We charge a fixedmonthly fee, which is a Management Services Fee (MSF). Weknow that Cleaning Doctor franchisees are comfortable in theknowledge that the more they earn the more they keep (less,of course, tax, which the Government will require). Thesimplified MSF payment also ensures that franchisees do nothave to submit heavy financial statements to head officeevery month.

The Earnings OpportunityWhen you sign up with Cleaning Doctor, you are not justbuying a job; you are investing in a proven and profitablefranchise business, built on years of experience and manythousands of investment. I launched my Cleaning Doctor franchise inSeptember 2008 and in my first year oftrading achieved a turnover of £50,000. I’mcurrently looking to expand my businessand within the next six months I want tohave a second van on the road. There is alot of potential for my business as thebrand is head and shoulders abovecompetitors in my area.

I have two full time employees cleaning windows while I am full-time on the pressure washing service. Where it all beganIn 1985 William Little was working in a boring clerical job thatpaid peanuts and went seeking some kind of business for whichthere would be a continuous need. He wanted to avoid HighStreet rent and rates, and expensive stocks of equipment.Equally important he wanted a flexible business that paid at theend of the job.
