My Fellow Patriots,

America is killing our veterans. Not with a gun, and not with any other weapon, but with ambivalence and inaction. Every day, at least twenty two veterans commit suicide in the United States. TWENTY TWO!! Now let that number really sink in for a moment, because if you do the math, that's over 8,000 veteran deaths each and every year without even facing an enemy in combat. And that number is extremely conservative, because only twenty one states currently report veteran's suicides, and the majority of those don't even do autopsies to determine if suicide was the actual cause of death. So the reality is that the actual number is projected to be somewhere between 35-60 veteran suicides in our country each day. That brings the actual total of veterans dying by suicide every year to between 12,000 and 22,000. Compare that to the total combat deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan, which is just over 5,000, and you'll begin to understand where the real enemy of our soldiers lies.

Veteran suicide is an epidemic in America. While we as citizens enjoy the fruits of their labors, with picnics, ball games, shopping at the mall, and boating on the lake, soldiers from WWII up through today's military conflicts are paying the price for our freedoms AFTER they return home. They're dealing with unforeseen trauma and injuries, both mental and physical, that only the right treatment and counseling can begin to heal. That's where the Lone Survivor Foundation and Gracie's Hope come in. These non-profit organizations are working to heal the minds, bodies, and souls of our veterans returning from war, and they need our help. Facilities are the key, and both LSF and Gracie's are badly in need of funds for dedicated veterans treatment centers to support the ever increasing demand to counteract this suicide epidemic. Through the use of holistic veterans retreats and hyperbaric oxygen chamber treatment, these organizations are realizing tremendous progress against this hidden enemy, but their missions can only scratch the surface without these dedicated facilities.

It's time for us, as true Patriots, to step up and do what we can to provide this support. Please read the attached package regarding sponsorships for our inaugural Patriot's Classic of Lake Norman, to be held at Trump National Gold Club Charlotte on October 12-13, 2014. All donations will go towards continuing treatment of veterans associated with both of these organizations, with a major portion being used to initiate the construction of these veterans treatment facilities.

I'm asking you to get involved, both on a personal level and through sponsorship of this event. I'm also asking that you forward this information to other like-minded Patriots who see the news every day, but may not have the full picture of what I've described in this message, and are tired of waiting for our government to take care of our men and women in uniform. Help me get the word out, and make a decision today to stop just talking about the problems our veterans are facing, and actually DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!

Our event is raising funds for two non-profit organizations whose main focus centers on treating the body and soul of these warriors. Meet our beneficiaries.

LONE SURVIVOR FOUNDATION The mission of the Lone Survivor Foundation is to restore, empower,and renew hope for our wounded service members and their families.They accomplish this goal by bringing veterans, and in some cases their families, together to address their problems associated with PTSDand TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury). The core of the foundation’s holistic approach to healing and restoration are five day retreats, totally cost-free to veterans and their families, which provide an atmosphere of complete relaxation, while providing them with therapy and counseling, peer networking, and education. Up to now, Lone Survivor Foundation has conducted these retreats at facilities loaned to the organization by benefactors across the country. They have just broken ground on their first dedicated facility, to be built on the Texas coast, which will provide continuity to their program retreats.

GRACIE’S HOPE Gracie’s Hope was originally established to assist special needs children who had exhausted all traditional treatment options. Through the use of HBOT (Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy) it was determined that remarkable progress, previously thought unattainable, was definitely possible through this process. Recently, the organization has expandedit’s programs to begin treating our nation’s veterans suffering from PTSD and TBI, and definitive research now exists showing the benefits for these warriors, whose only previous alternative was the underworldof prescription medications. Through the use of HBOT, as well as neuroand bio feedback, clinical counseling, and ARP Wave therapy, veterans are finding a healing alternative that is leading them down a path to wellness and rejuvenation. Gracie’s Hope currently operates out of a limited facility in Huntersville, NC, but is developing plans to build a permanent multi-million dollar Veterans Treatment facility in the LakeNorman area of Charlotte, NC.
