  • This is the fourteenth pattern Quiltmaker has published in support of Project Linus, an organization that provides hand-made blankets for seri-ously ill or traumatized children.

    • By February 8, 2013, make and send quilts, blocks or rows, with foundation papers removed, to a Project Linus chapter near you or to their headquar-ters at the address above.

    • Volunteer at your local Project Linus chapter to sew blocks and rows into quilts on National Make-A-Blanket Day, February 16, 2013.

    1Making the Quilt Top Make 13 paper copies of each foundation section. Foundation piece each section in numerical order, pressing and trimming after each patch addition.

    Sew sections 1–2 and A’s together as shown to make a block. Make 13 blocks.

  • Randomly changing the orientation of the blocks, sew the blocks and B’s together as shown to make 3 row 1’s and 2 row 2’s. Sew the rows together as shown.

    Sew the border side strips to the quilt and trim any extra length. Add the bor-der top and bottom strips in the same way.

    This line should measure 2".

    2Quilting and Finishing Layer and baste together the backing, batting and quilt top. Quilt a loopy meander with random leaves over the quilt surface.

    Bind the quilt.
