Paul A. Harris cont. pg. 4 5) Higher Education Administrative Experience (cont.): Director, Center for Immigration Studies, March 2006 – July 2008. Augusta State University The ASU Center for Immigration Studies was established in the spring of 2006 with a mission to highlight and examine the impact that immigration – both historically and at present – has had upon the State and region. The Center provides volunteer services to various governmental and non-governmental agencies who work closely with the State’s burgeoning Latino/a immigrant community. As Center Director I visited numerous colleges and universities, civic organizations, and communities of faith throughout the State in an effort to educate the public on immigration related issues.
