Plant Superintendent July 2013 to PresentInternational Automotive ComponentsIn this position I am responsible for all operations performed on 2nd shift at a tier 1 automotive supplier. This involves directing all departments such as Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Materials, and Purchasing in their daily activities. I am currently team captain for a continuous improvement team that has successfully proven out over two million in savings this year. In this position I have developed cell layouts and implemented process changes while developing standardized work instructions for these processes. During my time at IAC I have successfully launched three new lines and closed out an additional two lines. This year I have been tasked to enhance the employee training program with a goal of reducing quality issues while increasing overall production through improving operator knowledge. To reach this goal I have developed a question of the day program which covers various issues that occur and explains what the employee’s reaction should be well as a weekly quiz that works to develop systems knowledge for all employees. I am an experienced Kaizen facilitator with experience at proving out saves and improvements.

Line Facilitator February 2013 to July 2013Amana GoodmanWhile working for Amana I was in charge of maintaining the inventory on multiple lines in order to keep a two hour standing supply of production materials while coordinating with the warehouse to ensure that items needed for production were on reserve and in place. A key part of this position was the coordination between line demands and fabrication department preparations. I was only at this job for a short period of time due to notification that the facility was closing and moving operations to another state.

Private Contractor May 2011 to January 2013Rio Chama Valley FarmsDesigned and installed several green energy systems and year round greenhouses for Rio Chama Valley Farms in Medanales, NM. The systems are designed to run on passive energy reducing overall operations expenses and guarantees independent power and water supplies. During the project I worked with the USDA to help the farm achieve grants for the projects and helped to set new guidelines in place which will help the farm attain their organic certification. During the project we maintained a perfect safety record in a high risk occupation.

Foreman January 2006 to September 2007Performance Contractors Incorporated While working for PCI I oversaw the daily operations of multiple crews performing a variety of industrial services. Approved all daily payroll and safety related paperwork. Some of my responsibilities were new project start ups as well as providing estimates and submitting bids on new work that the company wished to obtain. In addition I trained new employees in safe work practices, lock out/tag out procedures and daily work steps.

Foreman June 2004 to January 2006Williams Specialty Services While with the company I managed crews of 3 to 50 people at the Oakridge K-25 site in the task of abatement on a variety of substances including Asbestos, Mercury, Beryllium, Radioactive waaste and other assorted materials. I was responsible for the daily safety and work performance of all employees. While on this job I obtained experience in operations in hazardous environments. Working with the Department of Energy helped increase my knowledge of safety requirements as they hold the highest safety standards in the world. I was routinely involved in writing JHA procedures and new area evaluation prior to work start up.
