Revere grew up to be a silversmith, which means he crafted objects from silver, like candlesticks, dishes, and etc. As anger began to grow against England, Revere became involved politically as a patriot. He was very active in the Sons of Liberty, a patriot organization. He participated in the Boston Tea Party. Revere created an engraving that exaggerated the Boston Massacre and was meant to inflame and turn more colonists toward the patriot side. Revere is probably best known for his midnight ride in April 1775. The British were stationed in Boston. Patriots heard that the British planned to march to Lexington and Concord to capture John Hancock and Samuel Adams and to confiscate colonial weapons. Revere, along with others, rode across the countryside to awaken the militias and warn the patriot leaders. For what is Paul Revere best known? Describe Paul Revere’s career before his involvement in the American Revolution. How did Paul Revere participate in the American Revolution?
