The place Flagey’s chip shop is a true landmark esta-blishment of Brussels. Further to the arrangement of Ixelles place Eugène Flagey, the old chip shop is placed on it’s original lo-cation, where the vast square is less occupied so the square could be revitalized in a consistent way.

The chip shop is facing the square. The orthogonal and linear concrete structure is covered by two light and flexible wooden structures. They refer to the new benches design and are used as shelters for the orde-ring and the outdoor eating spaces.

The single-family dwelling is located in the small city of Ath. It is combined to an artist studio to prevent workers daily migration to nearby more important cities.

Both functions (habitat/work) are clearly seperated and orientated according to their needs: The studio is opened to the North-East to receive a constent light all day, while the living spaces are facing the South.

The slender building’s facade seems to fade where the Dendre river was located before it had been vaul-ted in the early 20th century.

evening walk...The Antwerp urban project involves the quay regeneration. The city wants to strengthen it’s relation with the Escaut river through the construction of a pedestrian and bicycle promenade on top of the dyke. A wise work on the evening lightning constitutes a soft intervention which completes the quay’s promenade project and boosts the attractiveness in the end of the day.

La place picard...The city of Brussels wants to grow by enhancing it’s canal which untill then had been considered out of the city center. The Picard bridge under construction promotes gentle mobility. It will connect directly the North Station buisness district to the cross-river neighborhoods and the old Tour et Taxis station, now converted into a big location for various cultural events. The mix project of collective housing and convenience shopping and services brings a new density in the area and a large function merging that escorts the bridge. It frames the large place Picard by answering to the new housing towers on the other side of the canal.

Living in the VOGELZANG...The eco-district faces the Vogelzang semi-savage site located in the edge of the Belgian capital. Archi-tecture and nature are interrelated and gentle mobility is promoted. A new density is created with various activities for a sustainable neighborhood : school, small convenience shops, common vegetable gardens, marketplace, multi-purpose hall, playgrounds... Student dorm, collective, single-family and intermediate housings are mixed. Each one has it’s outdoor space and is orientated to the landscape. The buildings seems to appear from the ground. The low sloping roofs allow the arrangement of a promenade that faces the Vogelzang, in addition to the various common outdoor spaces of the district.
