“Caution” by Sheila Elias
Galler y Valu e: $850 .00 / A dopt It No w: $30 0 .00
10
Sheila’s work is about the layers of life and art history, seeking in it a connection between art aesthetics and social consciousness. She likes to portray a perception of urban tension, raw emotions and harsh realities, tempered with gentle optimism and beauty, countering an American dream that has gone a bit astray. Through life experience, she incorporates visual, emotional, and psychological impressions and feeds them into her paintings. Sheila's newly released publication, Somewhere-‐Anywhere, in conjunction with Nova Southeastern University, traces the evolution of her art and vision through abstraction and figuration, object and performance, pop and expressionism. With a foreword by distinguished, New York artist-‐critic Robert C. Morgan, Somewhere-‐Anywhere features the history of her art as interpreted by noted Los Angeles critic, curator, and historian Peter Frank, who has followed Elias's work for almost three decades. www.sheilaelias.com

Within his work, Marcus explores both surface and implied depth. Utilizing methods steeped in tradition, he manipulates space and form upon the canvas’ two-‐dimensional surface. He combines these techniques alongside urban inspired media, such as spray paint, which, he acknowledges, as flat, color elements to complement the established depth and form. Marcus is inspired by this duality of both technique and subject, as it parallels his life of tradition and the unconventional. Marcus’ work can be seen at the Markowicz Fine Art Gallery, Miami Design District, Miami, FL; Soho Myriad in Atlanta, GA, and Los Angeles, CA, and in London, England www.marcusfineart.com • [email protected] • 954.821.6661 716 SE 7th Street, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301

Art and Healing Pioneer & World Peace Envoy United Nations ECOSOC representative of the International Association of Educators for World Peace
Born in Mexico City, Jacqueline is an internationally renowned artist who has spent the last 36 years inspiring thousands of people across the world through her art, books, self-‐awareness seminars, workshops, spiritual counseling and special events. She has been invited to participate in special world events, including being chosen by Spain’s government to be the first Jewish artist to open the “Sefarad events in Toledo, Spain.” Distinguished scientists revealed how her high vibration art heals and helps us ascend in consciousness. For the first time in Art’s history, Jacqueline’s artwork has been measured in radiofrequency transmissions by re-‐known scientist Rafael Lopez Guerrero (solar and radiofrequency expert), proving an indication that her art is highly healing. In 2005 she had a one woman show at China 2000, a gallery on 57th Street in N.Y.C. The Gallery at the Train Station in Westport Ct. currently handles her sculpture. For the past 14 years she has been an adjunct professor at Fairfield University. Previously she had her own interior design firm and was awarded first prize for her residential design by the Connecticut Chapter of the A.S.I.D.
Jane sculpts what she knows -‐ how it feels to live in the female body. Her
work expresses different moods and personalities; they move or are still, and their posture is relaxed or strained. The basic forms are made from coils, which can be stretched and compressed into a female figure. The heads start as a simple pinch pot, made after the figures and inspired by their posture.
