6. DLsc1pl1De.punishment' and appeals."-(l) Inthe matter of discipline. punishment and appeals,the members of the Service .shall be governed by thepunjab Civil Services (Punishment and APpeal)Rules, 1970, as amended from time to time.

5. Qualifications and method of appointment.--(1) All appointments to the Service shall be made inthe manner specified in Appendix •B' :

S. Age .-- (1) No person, shall be recruited tothis Service by direct ap pointment if he is less thaneighteen years or is more than thirty years of agein the case of non-technical posts and thirty threeyears in the case of technical posts on the 1st dayof January of the year immediately jJreceding thelast date fixed for submission of applications by theCommission or the Board, as the case may be, orunless he is within such range of minimum andmaximum age-limits as may be specifically fixed bythe Government from time to time:
