The dental market is in the mist of an industrial revolution by which manual tasks in
the production of dental prostheses are substituted by fully automated CAD / CAM based
processes. Early on, SAUER identified this market and focused on the open systems
(all components of the dental process chain are individually selectable) by developinga unique series of highly accurate CNC 5-Axis machines, the ULTRASONIC 10 and
ULTRASONIC 20 linear. Both machines are available with standardized automation
solutions (e. g. with linear magazine or robot handling).
In addition, SAUER offers a strong and unique machine feature with its flexible
integration of the ULTRASONIC technology which allows the machining of all dental
applications in all materials (HSC & ULTRASONIC).

Flexible ULTRASONIC-Technology integration
A high frequency (20 to 50 kHZ) is transferred from the spindle to the ULTRASONIC-HSK-32 / -40
actuating tool holder via induction. Custom piezo-elements in the tool holder result in a directed
superposition of the tool rotation with an additional oscillation in the longitudinal direction.
ULTRASONIC enables an efficient and gentle machining of hard and brittle materials such as glassceramics or hipped zirconium oxide in highest quality.
