    The students will be creating a newspaper complete with articles and opinions about the lead up to the Civil War.

    This will be an attempt to combine the gamified classroom with PBL.

    Driving Question How do we interpret media such as newspapers? How are different opinions expressed in newspapers? What issues

    led us to war against ourselves?

    Content Standards to be

    taught and assessed:

    Slavery Legislation, Abolitionists vs Pro slavery arguments, Technological advances leading up the Civil War,Manifest Destiny and Westward Expansion

    Communication (Oral Presentation): I would like to have this as part the public
