Winter Education project
Purpose of the project: The Winter Education project is a project developed to increase cultural awareness amongst young Norwegian student and
therefore to give a positive impact and an educated youth. The projects theme is an important one and AIESEC Norway wants
to contribute with increased education and awareness for better understanding and communication among young people
today. We are arranging several workshops around schools in Norway with the focus on presenting meaningful knowledge
and experiences to encourage and motivate young Norwegians to be more open to- and have a better understanding of other
cultures.
Project description:
AIESEC Norway is planning and organizing a six week volunteer project where in each of the projects, six interns from various
countries will come to Norway to prepare and hold workshops for 8th to 10th grade students in Norwegian elementary
schools. Prior to the arrival of the interns, the whole extent of the project is to plan, prepare, organize and fundraise for the
project to be sustained.
What will AIESEC members do in this project?
As a member AIESEC Norway and this project you will work on developing sales materials, sell sponsorships to different
companies and apply for funds in order to sustain the project. You will arrange all the logistics prior to and during the stay of
the interns who are coming for the duration of the project. The members in the project will also be responsible for
interviewing and selecting high quality interns that will come to work in the summer camp and be the final responsible for
the results of the project.

LC/MC role:
LC ROLE MC ROLE
- LCVP/PM is responsible for the final result of the project as well as ensuring that the project is run according to plan.
- LC will make all decisions concerning the project - LCVP is the final responsible for the results and
outcome of the project. - The LC will decide the framework of the project - The LC will also be responsible for making necessary
changes/adjustments in plans and execution - Decide the theme of the project - Create the full overview of the project - Create all the final materials - Sell project to our different stakeholders (schools,
sponsors etc.) - Financial management - Create and execute preparation week - Create and execute evaluation week - Request support and training from MCVP or LCVP when
needed
- Support, train and track the project; - Deliver template for project description, sponsor
package and budget - Training in sales for members and leaders so that
they are able to sell the project to schools, sponsors and to find accommodation
- Create TN profile for the interns to ensure quality. Find potential partner countries that the LCs can cooperate with in order to insure a smooth and easier selection process.
- Set the main deadlines for the project both on LC and MC level. LC will be contributing to these decisions
- Track LCVPs. Track the health of the project and that the VPs are leading their area in the right direction.
- Monthly coaching and support meeting with PMs. (In order to ensure that they are leading their team and feeling comfortable and challenged in this role).
