    When you cannot install your

    CPU smoothly to the socket,

    please check your CPU

    installation guide. Never enforce

to install your CPU with violence

because this may snap the CPU

    pins and result in perpetual

    damage to your CPU.

We take the Intel Pentium 4 CPU as an example to show you the

installation process. Check the socket type or consult the agent

    before purchasing the CPU.

    1. Open the plastic clips at each side of

    the DIMM slot.

    Open the clip

    2. Insert the RAM modules vertically into

the DIMM slot. Then push it in.

    Open the clip

    3. The clips will close automatically.

The RDRAM, also called RAMBUS, can only work in pairs. When your

mainboard uses the RDRAM modules, remember to buy them in pairs or you

    should buy a C-RIMM instead.

    Notch

Do not touch or hold the RAM modules by the pins, also called golden

fingers. The blot on the pins or dust in the slot might make the RAM modules

work improperly. You can use a soft cloth to wipe the pins or compressed air

to blow the dust off the slot. Do NOT use solvent, which may erode the

    metal content.

Installing RAM Modules3We take the DDR (Double Data Rate) RAM modules as an example

to show you the installation process. Consult your agent for the

    proper RAM modules.
