The annual Chick-fi l-A Peach Bowl Challenge charity golf tournament features head football coaches and celebrities competing for their share of a $650,000 scholarship purse. Each year, the three-day event distributes $800,000 in charity and hosts more than 700 guests, including head coaches, celebrities, PGA golfers and Chick-fi l-A vendors at the picturesque Reynolds Lake Oconee resort.
The 2019 Chick-fi l-A Peach Bowl main competition and Legends fi eld featured six Dodd Trophy winners, three of the last fi ve College Football Playoff National Championship winning coaches and two of the four head coaches who led their teams to last season’s College Football Playoff. In total, this past year’s fi eld has won seven national championships, 37 FBS conference championships and has 1,345 career wins.
I think the camaraderie this event brings is great. It’s rare that I get the opportunity to be around my peers. The Chick-fi l-A Peach Bowl gives a lot of money to the schools and they also give us an opportunity to win money for our particular charities that we personally support. It’s a win-win-win for everybody and a lot of fun. – Clemson Head Coach Dabo Swinney
