The Eda McFarlane Clark Piano Certificate Program, based on The Royal Conservatory Music Development Program, is a rigorous curriculum that charts student progress through two preparatory stages and ten levels of achievement. Students who participate in the program will have performance opportunities, receive external adjudication, and will be award a certificate of achievement at the completion at each level. Those who complete the highest levels will have a well-rounded music education.

Perform your piano pieces at three different Third Street events throughout the year. Suggestions include: Music Hours, Master Classes, Holiday Concert, other special events
PERFORM THREE TIMES AT THIRD STREET
Attend two Master Classes throughout the year Master classes are public performances given by selected students followed by instruction from a visiting performing artist

Enroll in an additional course at Third Street or complete a special project outside of the school Suggestions include: Music Theory, Choir, Piano Ensemble, Chamber Music, Dance Attend the class regularly throughout the year
Attend any live professional performances, including Third Street’s LiveSOUNDS series Write a brief review of the performance with the Concert Review form found in your PCP folder
REVIEW THREE CONCERTS
Perform for Department Chair and outside adjudicators twice during the year to receive feedback Pieces are performed by memory and will represent three different musical eras
TRACK YOUR GROWTH
Receive a certificate of achievement Perform at one of the following programs, based on your final assessment results Honors Recital & Certificate Ceremony Piano High Honors Recital Piano Honors Master Classes
