COUNTERTOP MIXFlat Out Countertop Mix

Designed for quick production and pre-casting of countertops, tabletops, concrete panels, and other architectural precast shapes and pieces.

A fast setting two component cementitious concrete mix, with pieces able to be de-molded in a little as 3 hours.

Polish within 8 hours of pouring.

A glass fiber reinforced, polymer modified, self-consolidating mix with a 28-day compressive strength of approximately 11,000 psi.

Wide range of color options available by adding a Uni-Mix® Color Pack for each bag of countertop mix.

Dry mix is packaged in 55 lb (24.94 kg) bags and the Liquid Polymer is packaged in 5 gallon (18.9L) pails. One pail of polymer yields enough material for approximately 6 bags of countertop mix.

One bag of dry materials mixed with approximately 3.25 quarts (3L) of liquid polymer yields 0.42 cubic feet (11.9L) of cured material or approximately 5 square feet (.46 m²) at 1 inch (25.4 mm) thick.

Decorative concrete overlays give new life to structurally sound, worn existing concrete surfaces. Butterfield Color® has engineered a number of concrete overlay systems to provide the precise blend to transform blemished concrete into a fresh canvas to achieve any imagined decorative concrete look. Whether you simply desire a consistent uniform color , a contemporary concrete stain appearance or are looking to obtain a natural stone texture or pattern , Butterfield Color® offers a complete system with fully compatible products and tools. A concrete seal is recom-mended to protect the decorative surface.

T1000™ Stampable Overlay

Packaged in 55-pound (25 kg) bags. Each bag, when properly mixed with water, pro-vides for approximately 24 SF at 1/4” thick (2.2m² at 6 mm thick).

A polymer modified, cementitious material designed for resurfacing and texturing stable, non-moving concrete floors and hardscapes.

Single application thickness can range from 1/8” (3mm) to a maximum of 1/2” (13mm), depending on thickness desired.Use with T1000™ Primer to provide enhanced adhesion and workability of the material.

Wide range of Uni-Mix® Color Packs available. Available in Cement Gray and Cement White.

Compatible with Butterfield Color® release agents , stamping tools , stencils or stains.

T1000™ Primer

A bonding agent which provides enhanced adhension, workability and curing of cementitous overlays.

Packaged in 1-gallon (3.8L) plastic bottles of concentrate, dilute 1 gallon of primer with 1 gallon of water.

At diluted strength the coverage is approximately 200 square feet per gallon, but varies with surface conditions. A second application is recommended.

Required bonding agent for use with T1000™ Stampable Overlay, Microcem, T1000™ Fine Overlay , and Cantera™ Vertical Overlay.

T1000™ Fine Overlay

Packaged in 55-pound (25 kg) bags. Each bag, once properly mixed with water, provides a coverage rate of approximately 96 SF at 1/16” thick (2.2m² at 1.5 mm thick).

VERTICAL OVERLAY

GIVES A NATURAL STONE APPEARANCEVertical concrete overlays can provide a new decorative finish to existing walls and other vertical surfaces. Mainly applied to existing concrete substrates, vertical wall mixes can also be applied to drywall, cement board, masonry, and brick. Create the appearance of natural stone, wood, brick, and masonry using vertical stamping tools, vertical texture & joint roller tools, or by hand carving a unique stone design. Vertical overlays are colored and stained using integral concrete color, acid stain and water based concrete stain.

Butterfield Color is pleased to introduce the Cantera™ vertical wall systems. This system consists of Cantera™ Vertical Wall Mix and the Butterfield Color® Vertical Wall Stamping Tools and Texture Rollers. The stamping tools and vertical texture rollers are designed for use with Cantera to create the look of natural stone. Once stamped and colored, the cured material creates a durable, natural looking and weather resistant surface that resembles natural stone.

Cantera™ Vertical Wall Mix

A polymer modified, cementitious overlay that is a lightweight and sag resistant material suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

A precise blend of graded aggregate, cement and polymer which allows for thin to moder-ately thick application: 3/4 inch (19 mm) minimum to a maximum of 2 inch (51 mm) in a single application. Multiple applications are possible if a thickness over 2” is desired.

Available in 35 pound (15.9 kg) bags, mix one bag with 1.75 - 2.00 gallons (6.6 to 7.5 L) potable water water for coverage of approximately 11 square feet at 3/4 inch (1 m2 at 19 mm) thick.

Available in a medium gray blend with a wide range of color options available by adding Uni-Mix® Color Packs prior to mixing.

T1000™ Primer and T1000™ Fine Overlay are used to prepare the substrate and create the scratch coat.

CONCRETE COLORING, STAINING & RELEASE SYSTEMS

UNI-MIX® Integral Concrete ColorantPackaged in dissolvable bags for accurate and convenient color of concrete; 1 bag per cubic yard of concrete.Premium colorant that contains dispersants and wetting agents which reduce the water demand of the pigments.Uni-Mix® Integral Color is available in 24 Standard Colors. At Butterfield Color® we have developed superior coloring systems for integrally coloring concrete. Whether it’s cast in place, precast or tilt-up concrete, our coloring products can beautify the installation without compromising the strength and durability of the concrete.Integral color is added to the concrete mix before installation begins, providing consistent color throughout the entire thickness of the concrete. Adding color, with only a com-mon broom or troweled finish, provides a drastic aesthetic to plain concrete. In addition, integral color is also used with a colored release agent, to create a stamped concrete finish that rivals any natural stone, brick, hardwood, or tile look, but has all of the benefits of concrete.

CONCRETE STAINING SYSTEMSFOR BOTH INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR CONSTRUCTION

Concrete is an inherently attractive building material. It embodies the natural appeal of stone by its mass and per-manence. Concrete stains are an excellent choice for producing colors often found in the earth and rock. Butterfield Color® staining systems are popular for their color range and durability.Concrete stain provides a contemporary finish of floors, countertops, and even walls. Stains are applicable for both interior and exterior construction, and can be used with freshly cured or existing surfaces.

Butterfield Color® staining systems provide wide color variations, mottling, and unevenness of the color is normal and usually desired. If these coloring effects are not desired, Perma-Cast® Sierra Stain™ or Elements™ should not be used. When a more uniformly colored concrete is desired for new concrete installations, Uni-Mix® Integral Color or Perma-Cast® Shake-on Color Hardener should be specified.

Elements Transparent Concrete Stain

Packaged in 32-ounce (1 L) and 4-ounce (118 ml) bottles of concentrated stain. Standard Dilution is 3 parts water to 1 part stain. At diluted strength coverage is approximately 200-400 square feet per gallon, but varies with surface conditions. Formulated to readily permeate a properly prepared concrete surface and create translucent color varia-tions similar to reactive acid stain.

A low odor, water-based, environmentally and user-friendly concrete staining system with low VOC (15-45 g/L depending on color selection).CHO™ Cleaner required for washing substrate prior to staining with Elements™ Transparent Stain.

CURES & SEALS

PROTECT YOUR DECORATIVE CONCRETE INSTALLATION

Curing and sealing concrete increases the strength and durability of the concrete surface. The appearance and visual coloration of decorative concrete is greatly enhanced. New colored concrete should be cured with a liquid applied, film-forming curing compound. Curing with plastic sheeting or wa-ter spray should never be utilized with colored concrete. Sealing concrete provides economical protection for floors and hardscapes, reducing maintenance costs. It also minimizes the effect of de-icing salts and exposure to gas or oil and discoloration from dirt and spills.

Butterfield Color® manufactures a complete line of decorative concrete curing and sealing products engineered to enhance and protect many types of surfaces and are highly recommended for use with uncolored concrete, inte-grally colored concrete, and color hardened (shake-on) concrete, stamped or stenciled concrete and cementitious overlays.

Warning: Treated surfaces may be slippery during application prior to drying, and when wet with water or liquids after drying. Concrete should be textured sufficiently to eliminate potential slipping hazards. In addi-tion, use a non-slip additive when sealing. Interior floors may be maintained with a slip resistant wax. Test and confirm that the material is adequately slip resistant prior to opening installation area to any traffic.
