A Follow-up Study of the Class of 1994

The Office of Career Services is very pleased to present this 10 year follow-up study for the OWU graduating class of 1994. In addition to the annual outcome survey conducted each year by Career Services for the most recently graduated class, we believe it is also important to periodically “check in” with classes who have graduated 5 and 10 years out. In so doing we gain significant insight into the career development trends of OWU graduates that for obvious reasons are impossible to glean from our survey of graduates only one year out. A respectable response rate of 25.46% was obtained via a series of mailings and targeted e-mail communications. This report presents information with regard to three areas for the class of 1994:

As always, it is our hope that this report will serve as a useful reference for administration, faculty, staff, students, parents, alumni and prospective OWU students and their families interested in the career-related statistics of our graduates. Particularly noteworthy findings….

• Nearly 7 in 10 respondents had earned a post baccalaureate degree • The top five fields of employment for this class are (in order): education,

finance, health/medicine, business and law • Nearly 1 in 4 respondents reported an annual income in excess of 80k

In addition to this study, survey outcomes are available on the Career Services web site careers.owu.edu for the classes of 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003.
