This class provides an overview of statutes, constitutional requirements, and case law covering searches, seizures, and detentions relative to the search warrant process. It also includes procedures and tactical considerations for obtaining and serving search warrants, and reviews documentation of probable cause related to property, persons, and drug-related crimes in a search warrant affidavit. Officers will receive 64 hours of continuous training from AZPOST and 4 credit hours through Rio Salado College. Rio Salado College now offers an online Search Warrant Preparation course for law enforcement professionals.
