Dr. F. S. Urnrigar, Principal & Member Secretary welcomed all members of Board on behalf ofBVM and CVM family.

Opening Remarks by the Hq1r. Chairman :

l. Research Work by all senior faculty of all departments should be done. The faculty withPh.D. degree should contribute maximum and train the junior faculty of department. All Ph. D.Faculty should publish atleast 2 papers per semester.

2. All Admin. Expenses should be curtailed. All Head of Departments, Faculty members shouldtry at the best to reduce the electricity consumption. The electricity should be switched off ifnot required. trlectrical department should continuously monitor the Electrical powerconsumption in all departments and campus to conserve the energy.

3. Visit to IIT's should be aranged for development of other required laboratories, underTEQIP/KITE project with IIT, Gandhinagar. Dr. N. G. Mishra will Co-ordinate with all Headof Departments.

4. All projects should be guided by faculty members only, as per requirement of GTU for 76 & 8ftSemester students. Academic Mentor (Int. Faculty) can discuss in detail with Industry Expertto have most fruitful project and regularly visit concerned Industry for effective interaction.

5. Prof. P. B. Swadas, Asso. Professor in Computer Engineering Department will work asTraining & Placement Officer in place of Dr. N. M. Patel, Asso. Professor in Computer Dept.in addition to his regular duty.

6. One Centre for 4 colleges should be developed for GRE Training. Faculty from H. M. Patel(TOFEL) can be invited as experts. Dr. Patolia, Asso. Professor, Mechanical Dept. andConvener, Higher Education & Competitive Exam Course will coordinate with other coileges.

7. All departments should organize certificate course in respective discipline during VacationPeriod, so that well equipped Laboratories ofthe college can be utilized.

8. All GIA faculties eligible for Ph.D. should register for Part Time Ph.D. programme at theearliest.

Project of Rs. 3.00 Crores (Estimated cost) for Renovation of Workshop Building - 21142Sq.ft. area (GF + FF) at BVM. Dr. I. N. Patel will coordinate with Er. V. M. Patel sir andfrnalize the plan.

For RPTP (12th Science Student) Toppers (First 20) Scholarship of Rs. 10000/- per year canbe given to GIA students (Admitted at BVM).

With the support of Er. Mayurbhai J. Patel, Hon. Jt. Secretary, CVM, Relay Testing atElectrical Engineering Department should be done by Electrical Department.

12. TV Repairing Classes should be organized during vacation by Electronics Department.

13. All the departments should make maximum efforts to increase Testing and Consultancy work.

14. Trainee Lecturer (Re-designated as Asst. Professor) in each SFI departments should be uptol0% only. Prof. Zankhana Shah will complete her Ph.D. by September, 2015.

15. Atleast One Expert Lecture (Academic/Industry) per month should be arranged in eachdepartment.

16. Library Missing books, recovery from Librarian should be done.

14-3.2 To report the Government of Gujarat resolution No. STT/i02013-831015-Gh dated30-09.14 regarding implementation of Career Advancement Scheme (CAS) for teaching staffof Degree Level Engineering colleges. Internal Quality Assurance cell should also be foimed.

14.3.5 To consider the Physical Verification report of the Library Stock taken during July2013 to June, 2014 submitted by the Librarian.

The report was noted. The Board resolved that thc number ofbooks found missing (18 Books) as per Annexure I and No. ofbooks torn (40 Books) as per Annexure II be written off as perrules.

Further, the details of fine collected should be mentioned in eachLibrary report with prescribed duration. Appropriate action toreduce the number of missing books should be taken by Librarian.

Recovery from Librarian towards missing book (18 Nos) should bedone.

Opening Remarks by the Hon. Chairman :

1. Research Work by all senior faculty of all departrn-ents should be done. The faculty withPh.D. degree should contribute maximum and train the junior faculty of department. AllPh. D. Faculty should publish atleast 2 papers per semester.

2. All Admin. Expenses should be curlailed. All Head of Departments, Faculty membersshould try at the best to reduce the electricity consumption. The switches should be switchoff if not required. Electrical department should continuously monitor the Electricalpower consumption in all departments and campus to conserve the energy.

3. All projects should be guided by faculty members only, as per requirement of GTU for 7s& 8- Semester students. Academic Mentor (Int. Faculty) can discuss in detail withIndustry Expert to have most fruitful project and regularly visit concerned Industries foreffective interaction.

4. All departments should organize certificate course in respective discipline duringVacation Period, so that well equipped Laboratories of the college can be utilized.

5. Trainee Lecturer (Re-designated as Asst. Professori in each SFI departments should beupto l0%o only. Prof. Zanlchana Shah'wiil complete her Ph.D. by Septernber,20l5.

6. Atleast One Expert Lecture (Academic/Industry) per month should be arranged in eachdepartment.

7. Library Missing books, recovery from Librarian should be ddne.
