(ensure it is suitable for practical activities)
If you are injured…ensure you have a doctors certificate explaining the nature of your injury and the

change into their PE shirt for practical lessons.
Deodorant – We do advise you bring deodorant with you to school however spray cans are NOT to be used inside the PE Change rooms, Foyer or Gym Areas due to cause respiratory distress.
THEORY LESSONS
Equipment for Theory LessonsYou must have the following equipment with you for theory lessons:
Year7 & 8 – Theory Booklet, Spare lined paper or an Exercise book, Pens, Pencils, Liquid Paper etc.
Year 9 & 10 – Theory Booklet, Spare lined paper or an exercise book, Laptop (Charged, or charger with you if needed) Pens, Pencils, Liquid Paper etc.
EXPECTATIONS FOR THEORY LESSONS
Entry – The way you enter the room is important, please ensure you enter quietly, find your seat, get all your necessary equipment out and ready and sit quietly so that your teacher may mark the roll and we can get into learning (and teaching) ASAP!
During The Lesson – Simple classroom rules apply…O no mobile phones, no i-pods or headphones whilst in the
room. If it is seen, it WILL be confiscated. (first time on the front desk for the lesson, second time as before and detention, third time and it will be sent to the deputy. If you need to check the time, either get a watch or ask someone who has a watch. The above is my policy and there is no room for bantering or negotiation.
Cont..O Listening and Respect. Listening to others (including myself as
the teacher) and respecting their personal views is very important. Please ensure that whilst another person is speaking during a discussion you are listening. Also think about what you say before you say it (back to kindy…nothing nice to say please don’t say anything). By doing these things you are showing respect to others and also toward your own and others learning.
O Hand up to speak in a discussion. Self explanatory…Neither myself or anyone else can decipher three or more people putting their view across as the same time.
O ANYTHING ELSE YOU CAN THINK OF???Laptop/Computer Use – Please ensure that you use these for the allocated reason. Any student not doing so will have their laptop confiscated or no longer have the use of the computer and will receive a detention.
ASSESSMENTYou will be assessed on four outcomes for the semester that will be explained to you by your teacher. → Informal Assessment. Involves you being assessed on
your skills, effort, participation, knowledge and understanding throughout each unit.
→ Formal Assessment. Involves you receiving a take home or in class task which is submitted to your class teacher and marked.
All tasks go toward your final report and therefore need to be completed and submitted ON TIME. It is up to YOU and YOU ONLY to do this. We (teachers) can help, but you need to approach us and ask for it.
Marking Criteria One way to improve your chances of
achieving your desired results is to familiarise yourself with the task marking criteria.
As this is what your teacher will use to mark your task it is essential that you cover all the areas set out in the criteria. Self assess your task prior to submitting it!
REACH FOR THE STARS…IF YOU MISS AT LEAST YOU’LL LAND ON TOP OF THE WORLD.
