Certificate in Peace and Post-Conflict Studies In a global climate of conflict, fear and insecurity, the issue of building sustainable peace in countries that have undergone the ravages of conflict is of vital importance to policy makers and academics alike.

The Office of Interdisciplinary Studies offers this unique certification in Peace and Post-Conflict Studies which will equip students across a number of Faculties and disciplines with knowledge of the complexity of instituting measures that address underlying sources of conflict and provide them with hands-on practical approaches to sustaining peace.

The peace and post-conflict studies certificate is especially useful for those seeking a career in government, international governmental organizations (IGO), non-governmental organizations (NGO) and legal and business firms.

Students may pursue the Peace and Post-Conflict Certificate by fulfilling existing requirements for majors, minors or honors in their respective disciplines and by completing a minimum of * 27 from the following designated courses:

• POL S 359, 445, 468; • ANTHRO 485; • HIST 421, 493; • INT D 393; • PHIL 270, 368; • SOC 369, 469, 477; • RELIG 101, 270, 322, 337; • LAW 506, 516, 593, 599.
