As the years go by, our bull pen is growing in numbers and quality. OurSimmentals continue as in past years: dominated by polled, red, easy calving traits.Many of the bulls are from IPU Accelerator 206U, who calves easy, adds great bodydepth and good dispositions. His daughters raised their first calves and they haveperformed well.

Our AI sired bulls come from industry leading Red or Black factor bulls thatexcel in calving ease and performance. There are a couple of outcross bulls to com-pliment past bull purchases.

We have added some Purebred Red Angus cows to our herd, from estab-lished breeders. These bulls represent the breed very well. We have one hybrid bullthat is impressive.All of the bulls have been hand fed a low grain ration – 1% of body weight and freechoice alfalfa, brome.

Welcome to the 2013 edition of the Peace Country Supreme Bull Sale. We arepleased to offer five solid 2-yr old bulls and seven yearling bulls with a nice mix of lowbirth wt. heifer bulls to higher performance bulls. All our bulls come from functional hardworking females with problem free udders and good conformation. Our breeding pro-gram focuses on sensibly framed, low input cattle that will help you to optimize perform-ance and reduce your cost of production. Once again our 2-yr olds will come to the salein reasonable condition with less than 100 days of grain in their ration. They will be rockhard and athletic, ready to cover some ground and service a lot of females. We are ex-cited about the yearlings we have on offer, a number with outcross pedigrees. If you areunable to take your 2yr-olds home sale day, let us know and we will work to accommo-date your needs. As our yearlings are younger in age and a number of them will not be ayear of age by sale day we will take them home and continue to develop them until you need them. Here at Strawberry Fields, near Kinuso, we raise commercial, Red Angus,and Simmental cattle. We’ve been breeding Red Angus since 1995, aiming for fe-males that are moderate-framed, easy-calving, and efficient. Some of the bloodlinesthat we have used in our Red Angus herd over the years include the Kuruba, DynaQueen, Ruby, and Doll lines, sometimes breeding through AI.

We aim to raise the best cattle we can to the satisfaction of our customers,and most of our customers are repeat customers. Several of our customers haveachieved a 100% calving success rate, and one customer bought a bull in 2001, andstill had it nine years later! We sold our bulls for 10 years through the High PrairieNorthern Select Sale, and for the last couple of years by Private Treaty. We’re ex-cited to be participating in the Peace Country Supreme Bull Sale, and look forward to meeting new people, and introducingnew genetics to the area.
