Recycle Your Tree
Gloucester County residents are encouraged to bring their decoration-free live-cut Christmas trees to any of the five Gloucester County convenience centers
and place it in the appropriate bin for recycling. The holiday collection period will extend from December 26 through February 2. It is important that ALL decorations, including tinsel and garland, are removed from the trees BEFORE placing them in the bin.
Waste Management will mulch these trees and use them for cost-saving landfill cover. If you have questions about the tree recycling project, please contact Waste Management at 804-693-5109.
For questions about recycling other waste in Gloucester, you may consult the Clean Community office’s website: https://www.gloucesterva.info/204/Clean-Community or call the Clean Community Coordinator Elisabeth Wilkins at 804-693-5370.

The goal of the 2020 Census is to
count everyone in the United States
of America’s diverse and growing
population and to paint a full picture
of our nation, from our largest cities to
our smallest towns and rural
communities.
Governor Northam recognizes the
importance of the 2020 Census and
having a complete and accurate
count. He established the Virginia
Complete Count Commission to
serve as a trusted voice and resource
to educate, empower, and engage all
Virginians. The Commission is made
up of members from all corners of the
Commonwealth of Virginia to ensure
that all communities are counted and
every person who lives in Virginia has
equal access to opportunities,
resources, and representation.

I would like to take this time to introduce myself as the new school nurse here at Peasley Middle School. My name is Anne Patullo and I began my nursing career 31 years ago when I graduated from Vanderbilt University with my Bachelors. I have spent most of my career in hospital settings in a variety of roles. During that time I received my Masters in Nursing from George Mason University. My husband and I moved to Gloucester nearly a year ago and love the area and the people. We have two boys at Petsworth Elementary and believe that GCPS is an excellent school system.
I am honored and excited to be given this opportunity and to be a part of such a wonderful and caring community. It is my goal here at Peasley to keep our children healthy, safe, in school and ready to learn.
I believe that communication is key, so please do not hesitate to contact me if you ever have any questions or concerns. I would like to thank you all for welcoming me into your community and allowing me to take care of your children.
Please remember to get your Flu shots!
