COURSE OBJECTIVES

At the end of this conference you will:

1. Recognize criteria underlying exotropia management.

2. Review retinoblastoma screening and treatment recommendations.

3. Identify the challenges and pitfalls of pediatric anterior segment surgery.

4. Recognize the relationship between hyperopia and learning diHculties.

5. Recognize childhood corneal dystrophies.

6. Explain the place of retinal electrophysiology in childhood retinal disease.

7. Discuss the practical implications of the PEDIG studies.

8. Review the mechanisms leading to childhood retinal detachment.

9. Recognize the developments in the treatment of retinal dystrophies.

10. Discuss the importance of looking beyond the eye in pediatric ophthalmology.
