Author’s Note Hello ladies and gentlemen! My name is Pedro, Some of you may relate to my story... I was once a struggling Internet Marketer and I’ve come a long way to get to this point and like some of you, my journey is nowhere near over. After dumping literally thousands of dollars and spending countless hours doing the wrong thing, I finally ran into my first online pay day. What a feeling that was! Some of you may not have reached that pay day yet, but trust me, that first pay day, no matter how big or small it may be, will be the catalyst of many more. It took me a long time messing things up, before I got something right. But my friend, if you learn anything from me today, it is that success is made up failures! You’re supposed to fail until… So if you’re failing right now, keep failing! Because the more you fail, the more you succeed! Through my failings, I’ve developed a few strategies, and today I will share some of them with you.. Welcome to AZ List Building!

Module 1: Where It All Begins Why List Building? If you have been in any kind of marketing, you may have heard this saying “The Money is in The LIST” This has been true for ages, and will always be true. The POWER is also in the list. List building is important, maybe the most important aspect of marketing.. Internet Marketing, Network Marketing, etc… You could have the best product in the world, but if do not have an audience, you are stuck with a great product. You’ll learn in this course this importance, as well as the most important factors of list building, and of course the benefits of having a list and what to do with it. You’ll notice within this report that I will mention relationship building a few times. I once had a mentor back in my network marketing days that stressed a point that will always stick with me. He always said: “People don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care.” I hope this sticks with you to, because if you remeber this single principle, you will get further than you expected. Ignore it, and you will wonder why you’re stuck not making much progress. Having said that, let’s get to the basics. This is where it all begins!

5

Domain/Hosting (when I said beginning, I really meant BEGINNING) You’ll need a website, duh! But seriously this is how to do that.. You need to pick a domain name, that’s the first bit of thinking you’ll do. You want something that’s rather relevant to your niche. It doesn’t have to be a masterpiece though, so don’t bang your head on a wall over this. Example: I’m in the Internet Marketing/Make Money Online niche *fun fact: this is what IM/MMO stands for, you’ll see a lot of marketers shorten that As we were, I just went on a domain availability search (most hosting companies have this feature) and typed in words that were relevant. I found my domain literally in my first attempt! www.makemoneyonlineincome.com You can check that out if you’d like and observe some aspects of a squeeze page, but come right back! Ok, if you left welcome back! Here are some suggestions.. I use Bluehost for all my domains AND hosting, why? Because they have absolutely second to none customer service. They actually helped me set up my click tracker step by step, but we’ll talk about that later. There’s always Namecheap if you wanna, well.. be cheap about it. You can buy the domain there, but still host it with Bluehost. After you buy your domain and hosting, here’s what’s next. Once you have your domain and you’re logged in, you will want to install Wordpress.

6

Page 7: Pedro’s AZ List Buildingpedromarketing.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/A-ZListBuilding.pdf · Welcome to AZ List Building! 3 Contents Module 1: Where It All Begins Why List Building?

From the home page of your Bluehost account you want to click cPanel.

From there, go to the Website Builders tab and click Wordpress.

Follow the instructions and you’re done! You now have Wordpress, and we can go on to the next essential! Autoresponder You will need an autoresponder, that’s for sure.. As far as that’s concerned, you have two options here and that’s either GetResponse or Aweber. I personally have both, why? Simply because these are the two best in the industry, having said that, I have a love/hate relationship with both of them. In fact, as I’m typing this now, GetResponse just recovered from a full week of being down. Just before that though, Aweber had ticked me off to the extent that I swore to never give them another dollar and I was fully on the GetResponse bandwagon. I transferred my list of subscribers to GetResponse and then they went down… So now I have both.

7

Page 8: Pedro’s AZ List Buildingpedromarketing.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/A-ZListBuilding.pdf · Welcome to AZ List Building! 3 Contents Module 1: Where It All Begins Why List Building?

Don’t get me wrong though, both are GREAT, but if I had to pick one, at the time of writing this, I would slightly side with GetResponse. No matter which one you pick, both are very easy to get around. If you know how to use one, you’ll seamlessly convert to the other. As far as getting started though.. Aweber costs $1 for the first month trial GetResponse has a free 30 day trial, no credit card needed.. Another WIN for GR! If you’d like me to just stop beating around the bush and just tell you which one to go with to start off, I say just go with Get Response Set yourself up with a FREE 30day trial there and let’s keep things moving!

Module 2: Funnel/Squeeze Page Funnel Strategy Ok, before we get to creating a squeeze page, it’s important to know how you want your funnel to be set up. A sales funnel is basically a series of pages that your prospect will go through. The sequence of a sales funnel is entirely subjective, and is going to come down to you. There’s a bit of testing that comes with this, simply to find out what you prefer. You have options here.. (here are some formats that I’ve used with advantages/disadvantages) Squeeze Page → OTO(Aff Product) → TY Page(from Aff Product)

Advantages: Very simple, generate leads & quick sales Disadvantages: No Clickbanking opportunity, short term

Sqz Page → 2nd Sqz page → OTO(own product or PLR) → CB Partner or PPL

Adv: 2nd sqz page = another shot at a lead, OTO(own or PLR) gives you more control of funnel, chance for either CB Partner or PPL revenue

Dis: A bit complicated in the setup of OTO page may need editing of html code or with use of page editor, will need to upload page via FTP

Sqz Page → 2nd Sqz page(optional) → CB Partner or PPL Adv: This is my personal favorite, generates leads, 2nd sqz page is

easy to set up, option for CB partner or PPL program at the end means when you’re not banking clicks you’re making money

Dis: No OTO, might seem like you’re losing out on money at first, made for long term list building

9

Page 10: Pedro’s AZ List Buildingpedromarketing.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/A-ZListBuilding.pdf · Welcome to AZ List Building! 3 Contents Module 1: Where It All Begins Why List Building?

*the long term aspect only seems a disadvantage at first, but long term is more profitable than short term Ok, there may have been a few terms in there and through this report that you may not understand so let’s clear that up. Terminology

Sqz Page Short for Squeeze Page, the first page of your funnel and where your opt in form will be for your prospects to enter their email and/or name

Opt in Same thing as a lead, this is a prospect that has entered their information in the form on your sqz page which is called an ‘opt in form’

OTO Stands for One Time Offer, this can be your own product you’re promoting or an affiliate product or something you found via PLR. Mainly used to generate sales and recoup some money spent on Solo Ads

Sales Page A page created with intentions to promote a product and sell it

TY Page Thank You Page, this a page you create and place at the end of your funnel, this could have anything on it, aff product links, links to a cb partner or PPL

Aff Product ‘Aff’ is short for ‘affiliate’ or affiliate product, which is another person’s product that you promote and get a certain percentage of each sale

PLR Private Label Rights is a digital product to which you have the right to promote as if your own, not all PLR products give you full rights to them, there’s levels to this as far as altering the product and such

10

Page 11: Pedro’s AZ List Buildingpedromarketing.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/A-ZListBuilding.pdf · Welcome to AZ List Building! 3 Contents Module 1: Where It All Begins Why List Building?

CB Partner Clickbanking partner is someone you’re exchanging clicks with, which in itself is called clickbanking, this just means you send someone clicks to their sqz page/funnel and they send it back or vice versa

PPL Pay Per Lead is a program ran by a third party that pays you per lead you help them generate, a sqz page mostly located at the end of your funnel, you’ll be given a tracked link from the person running the programs and be paid anything from $.50 $2 per opt in you provide them

AR Short for autoresponder Exit Redirect A popup that appears on either a sqz page, sales

page, or OTO page when a prospect attempts to exit that sends the prospect to a linkof your choice, a second chance if you will

“No Thank You” Link A link most commonly found at the bottom of an OTO page, redirects prospect to a page of your choice

You will find that sometimes I shorten or abbreviate words to make this report easier to read and of course, write :) Squeeze Page Strategy Now that we have some terminology down and you have an idea of what a sales funnel should look like, let’s talk about your squeeze page! You will need some sort of program to help you create your sqz pages Here’s a free Wordpress plugin that could help you out, but I personally don’t use it:

WP Lead Capture Page Creator Here are a couple that I use and recommend:

11

Page 12: Pedro’s AZ List Buildingpedromarketing.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/A-ZListBuilding.pdf · Welcome to AZ List Building! 3 Contents Module 1: Where It All Begins Why List Building?

Instabuilder: Very easy to use and popular in the marketplace, Instabuilder works as a plug in with Wordpress, just about anybody can pick it up and create squeeze pages very fast. Pricing is at $47 for a single site license and $77 for unlimited sites.

OP aka OptimizePress: Probably the most popular and most used around the internet, OP allows you to do so much more than just sqz pages like whole membership websites. It may take a while to get the hang of it but the developers have created very helpful tutorial videos to help you with every feature. Pricing is at $197 for a 10 site license and $297 for unlimited sites.

Funnel Kit: If you’re on a budget but still want exceptional value, funnel kit is the way to go. Emilis Strimaitis developed this plugin for Wordpress and it’s an absolute peach! Pricing is at $27 for the unlimited domain license, which is very good for what you’re getting.

My two favorites of the above mentioned are OP and Funnel Kit, here are couple of examples of what I’ve created with the two: www.makemoneyonlineincome.com ← used funnelkit www.pedromarketing.com ← used OptimizePress I recommend you look into all three and see which is best to fit your needs and once you’ve picked one hit the respective link above to buy. Yes those are affiliate links, yes I will make a commission, yes you are awesome for using them :) My advice is to take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the one you’ve decided to use, best way to do this is via tutorials which the program should provide and if not YouTube is a great option

Module 3: Funnel Set Up

Now let’s talk for a bit about setting up your funnel Squeeze Page If you’ve reviewed my two example sqz pages, you’ll notice something in common with both of them www.pedromarketing.com www.makemoneyonlineincome.com I’m offering an incentive on both of them.. Translation: I’m giving something away, I’m providing value, something in exchange for an opt in The actual script or the swipe here is important and we’ll discuss that further later But the topic of discussion here is the incentive, where do you find something to give away, especially if you don’t have anything? Answer: PLR Here are two websites I personally use to find a huge selection of products to giveaway, as if you owned them yourself!

MasterResaleRights ResellRightsWeekly

You may do some further research on where to find PLR products if you’d like, but I think just one of the two options above is more than enough

13

Page 14: Pedro’s AZ List Buildingpedromarketing.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/A-ZListBuilding.pdf · Welcome to AZ List Building! 3 Contents Module 1: Where It All Begins Why List Building?

Do some browsing and find a product that’s in your niche, that you would like to give away *Tip: Most PLR products come in packages, including the sales page. When thinking about the swipe/script to use in your sqz page, look at the product’s sales page for ideas **Tip: Most sqz page creator plug ins have a pop up feature in case the prospect wants to exit the page, the exit redirect. Make sure you find this with the one you’re using. As annoying as these are, they’ve proven crucial for acquiring leads or even sales depending on where the “Stay on this page” button takes the prospect. This could even be a 2nd sqz page

This example of an exit redirect pop up is found on www.makemoneyonlineincome.com created with funnelkit The Stay on this Page button can redirect the prospect to either a 2nd sqz page or OTO page, in the above example it directs the prospect to a 2nd sqz page

14

Page 15: Pedro’s AZ List Buildingpedromarketing.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/A-ZListBuilding.pdf · Welcome to AZ List Building! 3 Contents Module 1: Where It All Begins Why List Building?

***One More Tip: The second sqz page, although different looking, should offer the same PLR product. No need to offer a 2nd PLR product for the 2nd sqz page. If the prospect opts in on the 1st sqz page they’ll never see the 2nd one anyways, and if the prospect opts in on the 2nd sqz page, chances are they won’t track back to the 1st to see what it was all about. People in general are just too lazy to do that OTO The next part we’ll cover in your Funnel Set up is the optional OTO (If you don’t plan on using an OTO in your funnel, skip this part) The OTO can be an aff product, a PLR product, or your own product Here are 3 ways you can promote an OTO:

1. the sales page from an aff product, linked via aff link of course 2. the sales page from a PLR product, will need some editing (how to

below) 3. a sales page/review page you created (how to also below)

Way #1 is simple All you do is use your aff link to the product you’re promoting as the link to the TY Page the prospect will see once opting in, donezo Way #2 is quite complicated in comparison, but if you want to use a PLR product’s sales page, it will need some editing work

1. First thing you wanna do is find the product.. You already know where to start from the two sources I’ve provided above

15

Page 16: Pedro’s AZ List Buildingpedromarketing.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/A-ZListBuilding.pdf · Welcome to AZ List Building! 3 Contents Module 1: Where It All Begins Why List Building?

2. Second you want to download the product package and find the HTML file for the sales page as it will need editing

3. Here’s where it gets tricky, you’ll need to create a buy button, link it to your Paypal

4. You’ll want to create a “No thank you” link at the bottom, so you can still direct the prospect to a page or link of your choice

5. Upload the page to your server via FTP, I recommend FileZilla Most people who teach this don’t even bother going into steps 35 because of how complicated it seems and I promise you won’t get it the first time around, but as long as you don’t panic and have some patience with it, I can help get you in the right direction. If you want to give this a try, I suggest downloading a program called KompoZer, it’s free and pretty awesome for what it does Steps 3 & 4 can be done with KompoZer and instead of writing another 45 pages on this, I’d like to share a short video that helped me understand, and I’m sure it’ll help you HERE This will take some trial and error and like I mentioned before, I usually try to avoid getting too technical in my funnel as I’m more focused on the long term rewards of list building. But even when it’s something you plan on skipping, I’d come back to this and learn it so at least you know how, in case you want to implement it. Way #3 is to create your own sales page for the OTO, whether its your own product or somebody elses, create a quick sales page telling the prospect why they need this product and why they should buy it. The most effective way to do this is to make a quick clip promoting the product with energy and enthusiasm, the best way to convey a message is face to face, if you’re camera shy, here’s your chance to get over it,

16

Page 17: Pedro’s AZ List Buildingpedromarketing.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/A-ZListBuilding.pdf · Welcome to AZ List Building! 3 Contents Module 1: Where It All Begins Why List Building?

chances are you will eventually get in front of a camera in your Internet Marketing career, why not do it now! The approach will differ slightly depending whether it’s an aff product or PLR or your own

If it’s an aff product, your job is to presell, link it with aff link and let the products sale page do the selling, make sure “no thank you” link is at the bottom, incorporate exit redirect

If it’s PLR/your own product, your job is to sell, selling is different than preselling as it’s more informative, less subtle, more thorough. Link via Paypal button, create the price & product delivery via Paypal, make sure “no thank you” link is at the bottom, incorporate exit redirect

TY Page/PPL/CB Partner This is the end of your funnel, your prospect has now become your lead and it’s up to you where to send them The TY Page could consist of anything, even multiple things. You can promote aff products here, links to PPL programs, or CB Partners. Make sure if you’re creating a TY Page that you actually thank them and congratulate them though, or else it defeats the purpose If you’re going the PPL route then I have a couple suggestions for you, these are some of PPL programs I’m a part of and some of the best out there

http://cashsuperstar.com/ppl/affiliates.html this is James Jordan’s program, it pays $2.50 per lead

17

Page 18: Pedro’s AZ List Buildingpedromarketing.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/A-ZListBuilding.pdf · Welcome to AZ List Building! 3 Contents Module 1: Where It All Begins Why List Building?

http://massincomeprofits.com/mishaspayperleadcampaign this is Misha’s PPL program, it pays $.75 per lead

http://minijvevents.com/ppl.html this is Ed Newman’s program, it pays $.50 per lead, but only from Tier 1, meaning only US, GB, CA, AU, IE, or NZ

I recommend signing up for each of these so you have options to make some money at the tail end of your funnel If you’re going the CB Partner route then I have an unannounced BONUS for you, so sit tight!

Module 4: Traffic Welcome to the traffic module, this is where all your funnel building work get’s tested. Your traffic will tell you everything about your business, but only if you’re paying attention. We’ll begin this module with probably the most overlooked or underused or underappreciated form of traffic, but quite likely the most important to keep a constant stream going through your funnel, and your list forever growing. We’re talking of course, about Clickbanking

18

Page 19: Pedro’s AZ List Buildingpedromarketing.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/A-ZListBuilding.pdf · Welcome to AZ List Building! 3 Contents Module 1: Where It All Begins Why List Building?

Like I said, I think this is a pretty overlooked method of list building, and the reason why I think that, is because people simply don’t understand it and are naturally afraid to attempt it. Because of that, I wanted to make this very thorough. My buddy Shane Farrell has put together quite the report that is currently selling like hot cakes on the Warrior Forum ← there’s the link to the thread if you wanna check it out. But I’m not gonna tell you to go buy Shane’s WSO, even though it’s worth every penny and more! I’m gonna offer it to you for FREE, because you’re a customer of mine. So go ahead and click HERE to claim your bonus report and if you catch Shane on the WF, make sure you thank him for this awesome gesture! We’re not done here yet though! If you left to check out Shane’s report, congrats and welcome back! I’ve got some more information to share with you.. Let’s talk about Solo Ads Solos are a great source of traffic and are valuable in their own right. Many people out there are making a living selling solo ads. People are even finding ways of turning buying solos into a profitable practice. First things first, what are solo ads? Solos ads are ads that you buy from another list owner to show to their already established list, thus directing traffic thru your funnel, leading to leads and sales for you.

19

Page 20: Pedro’s AZ List Buildingpedromarketing.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/A-ZListBuilding.pdf · Welcome to AZ List Building! 3 Contents Module 1: Where It All Begins Why List Building?

The way it works is, once someone’s list gets big enough to the point that they can send out an email and generate a certain amount of clicks to an advertised link in it ←(the link to your sqz page), that someone can sell those clicks to marketers for a certain price. Get it? Cool! So how do you find these guys who are selling these solos? And how do you know if they’re any good? Good question.. There are several ways of searching for your solo ad vendor, here are a couple of the top methods:

Google search Warrior Forum Facebook & Skype Groups Rolodex

You can always search on Google, but I’ve always felt this to be a bit of a blind search. You kind of have to know what you’re doing and often it will only lead you to the other sources we’re about to mention The Warrior Forum is a great place to look for solo vendors or just about anything Internet Marketing.. If you’re wondering exactly where in the forum these sellers are located, here’s good place to start http://www.warriorforum.com/warriorforumclassifiedads/ Facebook Groups are probably my favorite way of searching for quality solo vendors, Skype groups of course get an honorable mention but I personally don’t use them as much

20

Page 21: Pedro’s AZ List Buildingpedromarketing.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/A-ZListBuilding.pdf · Welcome to AZ List Building! 3 Contents Module 1: Where It All Begins Why List Building?

There is just so much useful information from these FB Groups that you can use to make your buying decision

Here’s a bit of a breakdown on the example testimonials from the image above:

Seller: The person who provided and delivered the solo ad Clicks Ordered: How many clicks the buyer ordered, the least that

should be delivered Clicks Received: How many clicks the solo ad provider actually

delivered, sometimes providers will send more clicks than promised which is a great thing but don’t rely on just this to make your decision the next category is also important

Results: Opt in rate, sales, quality of clicks.. This is usually where you learn about the quality of traffic

Opt in rate: you want this to be a decent percentage because this is going to determine how many subscribers you actually get from your purchased clicks, you’ll want to look for at least 40% here

21

Page 22: Pedro’s AZ List Buildingpedromarketing.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/A-ZListBuilding.pdf · Welcome to AZ List Building! 3 Contents Module 1: Where It All Begins Why List Building?

Sales: this is usually on the testimonial of a buyer that had an offer in his funnel, shouldn’t be completely ignored if you don’t because it reflects the quality of the clicks. You want a buyers list, meaning people who spend money

Quality of clicks: You’re going to see a lot of “certain percentage T1 traffic” in testimonials. T1 one traffic stands for tier 1 traffic which is what you want, this means the traffic is coming from tier 1 countries, such as the US, UK, CA, etc.. This just means the traffic is more likely to be made up of buyers, therefore better quality. You’ll want that percentage to be as close to 100% as possible because if you ever get into the selling solo ads biz, your customers will pay top dollar for that traffic

If you’re not sure where to start with FB Groups here’s a wealth of options, I suggest you join all the groups on this LIST and start looking into some solo ad providers Here’s something else that may be helpful, consider also joining The Solo Ads Blacklist FB Group, this will help you find the bad apples who you’d want to avoid doing business with. *Tip: If you haven’t done any prior business with a solo ad provider, always give them a test try first so you get a taste of their quality before spending too much money. Solo ad providers usually have a minimum of 100 clicks, buy 100 before you buy 1000, just in case the traffic is crappy, you didn’t waste too much money. If the traffic is good, just buy again. You can also take from another buyers Rolodex, there’s a few IM’ers out there selling their rolodex or offering it as a bonus. Whether this is valuable to you or not is going to depend a lot on the owner of the rolodex. Is he a reputable marketer in the IM world? Does he know what he is doing?

22

Page 23: Pedro’s AZ List Buildingpedromarketing.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/A-ZListBuilding.pdf · Welcome to AZ List Building! 3 Contents Module 1: Where It All Begins Why List Building?

If you used funnelkit to build your funnel pages you may have noticed that Emka threw in an awesome bonus, My Solodex. It is a live application that is constantly updated with solo providers in the marketplace

It is a really cool live application for your desktop! If you haven’t checked it out, you really should. It is easily worth the price of funnelkit, yet given as a bonus just for buying it! Since we’re in the topic of rolodexes, I encourage you to create your own to keep track of all your solo buying experiences. Heck, down the road you may even be able to offer to people for a certain price! Use Google Docs to create a spreadsheet so you can track your solo buying experience, here’s a good example you can duplicate

23

Page 24: Pedro’s AZ List Buildingpedromarketing.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/A-ZListBuilding.pdf · Welcome to AZ List Building! 3 Contents Module 1: Where It All Begins Why List Building?

Track all the buyers you’ve booked solos from:

Name: name of solo provider Contact: how you contacted them.. fb, website, email, etc.. Ordered/Received: how many clicks you ordered/how many you

received Opt ins: how many actually subscribed to your list Sales: your revenue in sales from that order Notes: T1 percentage, experience with provider, anything you find

useful to remember Click Tracking Let’s talk about something very important, tracking your clicks! If you were wondering how you come up with the stats to fill up that rolodex sheet, a click tracker will help out a bunch! There’s a couple free options that you can use to create your links with and do the minimal tracking, as in simply how many clicks that link got and here they are:

Bitly prettylink

24

These trackers can be used to ensure that you don’t get short changed on your clicks However if you’re really taking your list building business seriously and want the full analytics, then I suggest investing in My Click Boss

This is Rob Whisonant’s program, I use it and I absolutely love it! It costs $87 one time and is the last program you’ll ever need to track your list building business. The installation is a bit tricky but Rob offers great support with this so it shouldn’t be an issue. If you are on a budget, Rob’s recently released a light version My Click Boss Light, the features aren’t as beefy as the full version but the price isn’t either. It’s a very affordable $29.95 and will definitely do the job for you. JV Giveaways I wanted to chime in a bit on this before we get to the next module. JV Giveaways are a bit of an advanced concept and it deserves a full WSO in its own right, but then again so do most of the modules in this report.

25

Page 26: Pedro’s AZ List Buildingpedromarketing.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/A-ZListBuilding.pdf · Welcome to AZ List Building! 3 Contents Module 1: Where It All Begins Why List Building?

Having said that, they’re not all that complicated and I encourage you to get involved in one once you have a decent sized list. What is a JV Giveaway event? Basically, a JV Giveaway event is like a giant ad swap. The actual event is put together by a host who invites a group of contributors to partake. Each contributor offers a free gift that’s within the niche of the giveaway. This gift can be an ebook, report, software, membership pass, etc… All contributors will mail their respective lists about the event thus creating massive overall traffic resulting in potentially thousands of subscribers to your list. Like I said, it is like ad swapping on steroids! What do I need to attend one?

Subs: In order to attend you must have a list of subscribers, nobody likes a freeloader. Matter of fact most of these events are strict about you have a minimum number of subs to attend and contribute. You can qualify for a number of events if you have a list of over 1,000 subs.

A gift: You will obviously need a gift to contribute as it is a giveaway event so you’ll need to offer something to participate, preferably something that was created by you.

Other: The rest of the stuff you’ll need, we’ve discussed in this report already and should already have set up, ie: your sqz page, funnel, autoresponder

JV Giveaway events can be very profitable to you as they cost nothing to join and obviously, the sheer number of subs you can get from a single event. Where can I find these events?

26

Page 27: Pedro’s AZ List Buildingpedromarketing.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/A-ZListBuilding.pdf · Welcome to AZ List Building! 3 Contents Module 1: Where It All Begins Why List Building?

Although it isn’t difficult to find these events, you do have to be a bit of an insider to join them. It helps to have a relationship with the person hosting the event. Every once in a while you’ll find them being announced in the Warrior Forum and other IM forums, but I think one of the best ways is to search on FB for JV Giveaway groups and join them. This is a great way to develop a relationship with the hosts of these events and get in multiple events at the same time and skyrocket your list of subscribers. Here are a couple groups that I am a part of: https://www.facebook.com/groups/357671671043863/ https://www.facebook.com/groups/228608073996634/ https://www.facebook.com/groups/159389730902643/ https://www.facebook.com/groups/GiveawaysGroup/ https://www.facebook.com/groups/jvgiveaways/ I recommend requesting to join these once you have a decent sized list and then dive in to your first event!

Module 5: Email Marketing

This is probably my favorite yet most delicate part of list building. Email marketing is indeed an art form and it is imperative that you treat this less so like sending cows to the slaughter and more like sending food to the hungry. Unfortunately, the majority treat this like the former and not the latter. The trick here though, is to keep the hungry, hungry Not starving, but coming back for more. Not spoiled, but satisfied.

27

Page 28: Pedro’s AZ List Buildingpedromarketing.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/A-ZListBuilding.pdf · Welcome to AZ List Building! 3 Contents Module 1: Where It All Begins Why List Building?

What is the purpose of email marketing? The purpose of email marketing is to turn as many prospects into buyers as you possibly can. Of course you can attract the prospect with a free a gift, but don’t make your emails all about giveaways, you don’t want a list full of moochers. You want a list of buyers and return buyers and loyal buyers. At the end of the day, you want to turn your subscribers list into a buyers list so you can literally pay yourself every time you send out an email. You also want to establish some trust here, because trust turns into the long term customer, which turns into long term paydays. Think of Amazon.com or another authority company, hey have millions of people subscribed to their list. When they send out an email, do you think they make some sales? You bet! You’re not Amazon.com, but to your subscribers you need to be the authority in the your niche. You need to be seen as the Amazon.com of whatever you’re emailing them about. Point is, Amazon.com already has that trust, and for you to become that authority, you need to develop that trust! A couple things to know Here is some truth and knowledge about email marketing that may be of some interest to you:

You will lose subscribers: Yes, this will happen along the way, get used to it, get ok with it. Not everyone is going to like every email you write and sometimes you can’t control that. However, you can control

28

Page 29: Pedro’s AZ List Buildingpedromarketing.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/A-ZListBuilding.pdf · Welcome to AZ List Building! 3 Contents Module 1: Where It All Begins Why List Building?

what you write so pay attention to responses and market accordingly. Do not SPAM people

Don’t sell, presell: When you’re promoting an aff product via email, it is important not shove it down the throats of people and don’t sell too hard on the email, that’s what will get your message sent to the spam box. Besides the sales letter of whomever’s product you’re promoting will sell plenty. Your goal is to get the reader to click. So when you’re writing an email, think as if you’re inviting the reader to come see a movie and ask yourself.. What good does it do for them if I tell them all about the movie before they even watch it? No good, that’s the answer. No good for them, no good for you

Be personable: What does this mean? Be their friend, tell stories, relate, ask questions, build a relationship. Don’t try to be a hard ass salesman, nothing will get people running faster to the unsubscribe link than that. Try and be playful, this will make writing the email more enjoyable, as well as reading it

Always use P.S.: If you’re subscribed to any marketers list; any good marketer at least, you will notice that they almost always end their emails with a P.S., why? Because it is your chance to use or reuse a call to action. This is like another shot at a sale or an action you desire from the reader and why wouldn’t you want that?

Always use a Call To Action: Speaking of CTAs, you always want to use them. It is absolutely laughable how many people leave their readers guessing as in to what they want them to do or what action should they take. Don’t leave your reader guessing in this part, they need some direction, like “Click This Link”, or “Grab This Now” your reader needs to know what to do

Keep it simple: Do not use words like “floccinaucinihilipilification” in your emails. Yes, that’s a real word. Really though, you don’t want to confuse or stress your readers. Keep it simple, simple writing simple reading

29

Page 30: Pedro’s AZ List Buildingpedromarketing.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/A-ZListBuilding.pdf · Welcome to AZ List Building! 3 Contents Module 1: Where It All Begins Why List Building?

Email everyday, and maybe then some: A lot of marketers will say that over mailing your list will cause people to unsubscribe. This may be true, but what good is having a list if you don’t email them? What good is having a following if they don’t know who you are because you only email them once every couple days? Yes, people might get sick of you but as long as you’re not downright sickening, most people will stay

Provide value: The more valuable you are the more interesting you are, this doesn’t mean give something away on every email but maybe a tip or a lesson or something interesting. This will make you stand out from the pack

Ok, those were some of my basic “keep in mind” things that you should keep in mind.. Let’s talk about your format for a little.. Email Format Here’s how NOT to write an email:

30

Page 31: Pedro’s AZ List Buildingpedromarketing.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/A-ZListBuilding.pdf · Welcome to AZ List Building! 3 Contents Module 1: Where It All Begins Why List Building?

Here’s how TO write an email:

See the difference? If you’re trying to read it, stop trying to read it silly. This isn’t about the content, its about the format. You never want your email messages to have massive blobs of text, this will turn off the reader and make them uncomfortable. Use no more than 3 lines in each paragraph, this will make your email more of a breeze to read which in turn keep the reader reading and keep you likeable.

31

Page 32: Pedro’s AZ List Buildingpedromarketing.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/A-ZListBuilding.pdf · Welcome to AZ List Building! 3 Contents Module 1: Where It All Begins Why List Building?

Content Let’s talk about your content shall we? At the end of the day, it is your content that will keep the reader CONTENT! HAHA! I made a funny! Take a minute to laugh that one out, I’ll wait… Ok, welcome back! Here are some content tips that’ll keep your reader content:

Tell stories, everybody loves stories, this will keep your reader entertained and will create a bit of suspense in your emails.. This will of course depend on how good of a storyteller you are, but the concept in itself is effective, try it

Use Arial font and keep it at 14pt.. just like this report, this is the ideal size and font marketers use to write their emails… I agree, this tip was probably better off in the “Format” section but hey, at least you learned!

Be playful, even funny if you can.. Nobody likes a person who is serious all the time. Entertain them, make fun of yourself if you have to, people enjoy that

Show confidence, even if you have none, at least sound like it through your emails, this instills trust and will get people to do what you want them to do.. Just try not to be too arrogant or cocky

Ask questions, this is a great way to get your reader thinking and stimulates action taking and decision making

Think about the reader, you never want to talk about yourself too much. You want to relate.. Relate, relate, relate.. and relate. Like mentioned before, you want to sound personable. Remember, you’re a friend

Try using cliffhangers.. This can be powerful, and will boost the open rate of your next email greatly, you can start with a story and cut it off

32

Page 33: Pedro’s AZ List Buildingpedromarketing.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/A-ZListBuilding.pdf · Welcome to AZ List Building! 3 Contents Module 1: Where It All Begins Why List Building?

abruptly and mention that you’ll finish the story on the next email. This will get your readers to want to open that email

Be transitional, try not to ramble too much on your emails, use phrases like, “Still with me”, “You listening”, “You following me”, “Listen to this”, these will keep your readers on their toes and not falling asleep. People don’t take actions when they’re asleep

Here’s one more tip that was once shared with me by a list building guru that should help if you’re struggling for ideas for content. Did you know that Aweber and GetResponse keep an archive of emails written? Here’s how to use this to your advantage..

1. Go on Google 2. Type in the following on the search: archive.aweber.com +

KEYWORD.. You can use getresponse instead of aweber 3. The KEYWORD is whatever you’re trying to write about, this could

be a product you’re promoting. 4. Run the search and voila! The results are a bunch of emails that

were sent on that keyword that GR and Aweber just happen to keep on a public archive

I hope you enjoy that tip as much as I have!

Module 6: Promoting Products/Affiliate Marketing Where to find ‘em The idea is to find products to promote as an affiliate through your emails so you can make sales and get paid, right? So where do you find these products? Here are three of the most popular marketplaces to find products to promote:

Clickbank.com or better yet cbengine.com WarriorPlus.com JVzoo.com

All three of these have plenty of quality products to promote, all three have plenty in the IM niche. However, Clickbank ventures more into other niches than the other two. Clickbank allows anybody to promote, while the other two only allow promotion via permission, which brings me to my next topic… The Approach When you’re promoting products for either JVZoo or W+, you have to apply for permission as an affiliate. Both platforms you do this by heading over to the Affiliate tab once logged in

34

Page 35: Pedro’s AZ List Buildingpedromarketing.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/A-ZListBuilding.pdf · Welcome to AZ List Building! 3 Contents Module 1: Where It All Begins Why List Building?

Once you find a product you wish to promote, you will have to request permission first:

Exhibit A, W+

Exhibit B, JVZoo You can just send the request in and hope for approval and even send a message describing how you’ll promote their offer, but I learned the hard way that, sometimes this isn’t enough.

35

Page 36: Pedro’s AZ List Buildingpedromarketing.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/A-ZListBuilding.pdf · Welcome to AZ List Building! 3 Contents Module 1: Where It All Begins Why List Building?

My advice is to contact the product creator directly, especially if it’s a high end or popular product. This will increase your chance of approval by almost 100%! Sometimes product creators, including myself, don’t want just anybody with no reputation or prior sales to promote their products. So if you want a sure way to get approved, contact the product creator personally and at the end of the day you’ll have a new relationship in a game that’s ALL about relationships. Keep this in mind! You’ll be glad you did..

Module 7: Bonus List Building Methods I just wanted to wrap up this report by sharing a couple other methods to build your list. I personally use some more than others.. Safeswaps Safeswaps is a popular place to find ad swapping opportunities, but not one that I personally use too much. I just thought it would be worth mentioning because of its popularity, you’ll find a wealth of options here as many marketers are using the service to build their respective lists. The only downside is that some of the traffic may not be as quality as you’d like.

36

Page 37: Pedro’s AZ List Buildingpedromarketing.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/A-ZListBuilding.pdf · Welcome to AZ List Building! 3 Contents Module 1: Where It All Begins Why List Building?

If you’d like to have a look for yourself, you can check them out HERE. Facebook Facebook is a great way to promote your sqz page and to promote yourself as a brand. My advice here is to create a fan page that’s niche related or even yourself if you plan on establishing a reputation, and advertise through FB ads. This is something very easy to do, you just have to target your desired audience which is a bit of an art, but definitely learnable. Remember, FB is still the biggest social network out there and one of the most often visited sites on the web! Free WSO/$1 WSO This is a great way to build your list and a method that I’m actively implementing. Let’s face it, or at least I’ll face it.. I’m not the most knowledgeable guy on the web, but I sure know how to teach people a thing or and I’ve made some considerable ground since my first dollar. The point is you don’t have to be a wizard. Ask yourself, do you know of any ways to make money online? The answer is, if you’ve made a single dollar then YES! Write a short report on your methods and your findings. Chances are, someone doesn’t know what you know, and even if they did, you gave it away for free! It’s not as if they can ask a refund for it! Where you win

37

though is, you now have a subscriber for everyone who picked up your report This is even better when you actually charge for it. The difference is, now you have a buyer on your list and a buyer can buy again, from you, based on your advice.. are you putting this together yet? AFFILIATE MARKETING!!! Here’s what you do, think of what you are most knowledgeable on, type up a 1520 page report on it, post it on the Warrior Forum in the WSO section and sell it for $1! One dollar is something anybody can do, yet makes a huge difference psychologically over free. This is something anyone can do, just make sure you provide some value, information is value. Information on the web is also mostly free, people are just too lazy to look for it, they’ll rather pay you a $ to just present it to them. Do yourself a favor, consider it! Thanks for joining me in this report! Scroll down for a final thought and some inspiration :)

Final Thought: If you don’t succeed, try and try again. Success is a ladder, every step is made up of a certain failure. It’s up to you whether that step will send you up or crumble under your feet! HAHA! I just thought of this analogy right now! Literally, just freestyled it.. Kinda neat! Anyways, this is a process and no failure is final, keep trying, keep testing and keep learning. You’ll only be better for it! One last thing, if you missed your chance on the OTO and want to be part of my FB group, here’s another shot at it CLICK HERE FOR OTO Thanks again for joining me!
