TWO PLAYERS, 25 COUNTRIES, ONE GAME: Inspiring Soccer Documentary, Pelada, showing April 13
Milwaukee, Wis.—The film, Pelada, follows the story of Luke and Gwendolyn, two former college soccer players, who chase the game around the world, playing in 25 countries. Luke and Gwendolyn share the stories of those who play soccer and through that they demonstrate that improvised soccer brings the world together, it acts as a “window into lives around the world”, and is played by anyone, anywhere. The Association of Social Welfare and Justice Students and Women’s Club Soccer will present the documentary on April 13, 2011 in Marquette Hall 300 at 7:30 p.m. Following the showing, director Rebekah Fergusson will speak about the film as an inspiring documentary exploring how one simple game that can unite the entire world.
