ICC'sPreferred (Training) Provider Program

Late last year, the ICC unveiled the PPP in regard to basic and continuing ed training. PPP means Preferred Provider Program. To help make it clearer, we insert (T) which indicates Training. This program affects every ICC member who earns CEUs for gaining or preserving an ICC code offi cial designation or credential.

The ICC requires that a certain portion of all CEU submittals for initial certifi cation or renewal MUST be from P(T)PPs. As time passes, the portion will rise.

Every training session offered at the conference had been submitted to the ICC for P(T)PP recognition. We expect full acceptance.

The Board of Directors recognized that PENNBOC's P(T)PP participation would ease the administrative and documentation tasks for regions and make both PENNBOC and its Regions more valuable to their members.

Following the Conference, the PENNBOC CEU Transcript will indicate P(T)PP CEUs, where appropriate.

It is important to note that the PA Department of Labor and Industry accepts P(T)PP CEUs and makes no distinction between them and the traditional CEUs.
