A Word on Dental SolidsThere is no standard precious or non-precious metal for dental work. Yellow golds can range from almost no gold content up to about 18k alloys. White dental may or may not contain precious metals.

As a side note, the University of Minnesota Dental School has been using a 59% yellow gold crown and bridge dental alloy since 1982.

If one buys yellow dental gold, we recommend buying it at about 10k, yet this is no guarantee for a keystone return.
