Prashansa Jaiswal, 20 Pearl Academy of Fashion Mumbai, Tuesday, August 03, 2010 ht city my city 07 New Delhi, Tuesday, August 09, 2011 yeh dilli hai! me and my metropolitan diary Such construction sites were a common scene during the Commonwealth Games but almost a year and still such sites haunt us. Only in Delhi! Dear Diary, “Delhi meri jaan” — how awesome does it sound, only a Delhiite can know. Delhi is a place of fun and enjoyment. Even death with friends is a festival here. Yesterday, I went to Karol Bagh with my friends. You will find almost everything there — both swanky high-end shops for the ones who love branded stuff and also shops from where you can buy rea- sonably-priced stuff. Even the varieties available in eateries are awesome. From South Indian, Chinese to Italian, you’ll find it all at one place. Then again, there is Gaffar Market, a complete place for mobile phone parts and repairing, where you can fix your phone at the cheapest possible rate. It’s a privilege for us to be a citizen of a city where everything is so easily available Also, these days, there is tight security because of the approaching festive season and Independence Day. Every possible step is taken by the Delhi Police for the security of its citizens. I really feel safe and secure to live in this city. Khyati Minglani Dear Diary, A few days ago I had been to Bangala Sahib Gurdwara with my friends early in the morning. The Gurdwara is so beautiful. It was so peaceful. This was my first visit to the place. We had to tie bandanas to cover our heads. We also washed our hands in the holy pond. We got to eat the prasad, it was like really yummy, I asked for it again. I will remember this visit all my life and if possible, would like to go there again.
