PeopleSoft Self-Service Open Enrollment Instructions

Plan changes and Flexible Spending Account elections for 2018 can easily be done online
through Employee Self-Service. Employees will receive an email confirmation of changes
made online for their records. Dependents may not be added to plans using the online
system as supporting documentation to show proof of eligibility is required.

Access the Staff Portal from the district website (www.sandiegounified.org):

Dental Plan Changes
To make any changes to your dental plan, please follow the instructions above except be
sure to click on the Edit button for Dental. There is no requirement to select a primary
dentist or dental office when changing your dental plan using PeopleSoft Self-Service.

Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Enrollments
Enrollment in a Flexible Spending Account is not automatic. Employees who participated
during the 2017 plan year must re-enroll if participation is desired for the 2018 plan year.
Our FSA plan administrator provides the option of a flex debit card for Health Care FSA
enrollments (it is not available for Dependent Care FSA enrollments). You will have the
option to indicate your interest in using the flex debit card during the enrollment process.
Interest in, or use of, the debit card is strictly optional and it is not required to enroll in
the Health Care FSA plan.
