Position PROFILE

Required Professional Experience and Preparation

The Governing Board of the Peoria Unifi ed School District is

seeking, as its next superintendent, an experienced leader who

has a proven record of sustaining high student achievement,

leading excelling schools, attracting and retaining highly

qualifi ed employees and developing and implementing a long-

range strategic plan. The Board seeks a superintendent who will

embrace, understand and respect traditions, diversity and the

culture of the community while moving the district forward

as a “world-class district.”

Compensation

The salary for the superintendent position will range from $175,000 to $225,000 plus defi ned benefi ts

based on qualifi cations and performance. Professional preparation and evidence of successful administrative

experience in an educational setting will be prime considerations. The terms of the contract will be mutually

determined.

Application PROCESS & PROCEDUREThe Peoria Unifi ed School District has engaged the services of the Arizona School Boards Association

to direct a search for qualifi ed candidates.

Each fi nalist chosen will visit the district at his or her expense to be interviewed by the Governing

Board. Governing Board members may visit the communities of select candidates as part of the fi nal

selection process.

To receive consideration, an applicant’s fi le must be completed by Friday, March 11 at 12:00 p.m. (MST)

and must include the following:
