• Three 1 Mbps Internet Links

• All links operational

• Combined bandwidth: 3 Mbps= ISP A + ISP B + ISP C = 1 Mbps + 1 Mbps + 1 Mbps


• Scenario:• Peplink Balance 300

• Three 1 Mbps Internet Links

• One link down: ISP B

• Peplink Balance re-directs traffic over ISP A and ISP C as failover.

Link Aggregation & Failover• Downtime Analysis:

• One 90% reliable link (no failover)

• Downtime = 10% = 36.5 days/year

• Failover between two independent 90% reliable links(Peplink Balance 200)

• Downtime = 10% x 10% = 1% = 3.65 days/year

• Failover among three independent 90% reliable links(Peplink Balance 300)

Hardware High Availability• High Availability support via VRRP, Virtual Router

Redundancy Protocol (Balance 200/300, 210/310, 380, 390 and 710 models)

• A pair of Peplink Balance units work together.

• One unit is Active.

• The other unit is on Stand-by.


Hardware High Availability• In the unlikely event that the Active unit fails:

• The previous Stand-by unit becomes Active.

• New Active unit re-establishesInternet connections.

• Outage is minimized.


VPN Load Balancing and Failover• Allows VPN traffic to load balance across multiple connections
