Designed, developed, and patented by AAF, the PerfectPleat HC M8 is a prod-uct with form and fit unlike any other pleated filter in the marketplace today. The automated and controlled process AAF has developed for the PerfectPleat HC M8 eliminates inconsistencies and irregularities in order to provide the filtering efficiency you need and expect.

At the core of every PerfectPleat HC M8 filter is DuraFlex®, American Air Filter's patented, self-supporting media. When pleated, DuraFlex will hold its shape without the need for wire support characteristic of conventional pleated filters. That means safer handling, with no risk of nicks or cuts during installation. The absence of wire also means that the filter will not rust and is totally incinerable, which simplifies disposal.

AmAir C Odor Control Filters

Pleated gas-phase filters with dual purpose media design for both odor removal and particulate collection. Available in 1", 2", or 4" depths. The effectiveness of any gas-phase filter corresponds to the density (weight per square foot) of activated carbon contained in the product. AmAir/C fil-ters are more effective than other odor control filters, because they contain more chemical media, using AAF's SAAFWeb™ technology.

We all play a role in protecting our families’ health and the environment. Products with the Safer Choice label help consumers and commercial buyers identify and select products with safer chemical ingredients, without sacrificing quality or performance.

More than 2,000 products currently qualify to carry the Safer Choice label. Safer Choice products are available for your home at retail stores and for use in businesses like schools, hotels, offices, and sports venues.

For the past 15 years EPA's label for safer chemical products has been known as the Design for the En-vironment, or the “DfE”, label. We spent more than a year collecting ideas and discussing new label options with stakeholders, such as product manufacturers and environmental and health advocates. Then we took our ideas to consumers and asked what worked best for them. The result is the new Safer Choice label. In addition to the Safer Choice label above, we’re offering an optional label that product manufacturers may use on products designated for businesses, office buildings, sports venues, and schools. We also have a label that indicates that a product is fragrance-free, to help consumers who prefer products without fra-grance. Learn more about our criteria for the fragrance-free label. What does the Safer Choice label mean? When you see a product with the Safer Choice label, it means that every ingredient in the product has been reviewed by EPA scientists. Only products that meet our Safer Choice Standard, which includes stringent human health and environmental criteria, are allowed to carry the label.

Meeting the Safer Choice Standard is voluntary. Companies who manufacture Safer Choice products have invested heavily in research and reformulation to ensure that their ingredients and finished product line up on the green end of the health and environmental spectrum.
